Tata Altroz is named after a sea bird, Albatross, known for its unusual flying ability and beautiful gliding movements. The car was launched in 2020 and is Tata’s first premium hatchback made on the modular Alpha platform. This makes it lighter than all the previous cars of Tata, and improves car handling. The price for the petrol version of Altroz is from Rs 5.7 - 8.6 lakhs (Mumbai ex-showroom), and diesel variants cost Rs 7 - 9.46 lakhs ( Mumbai ex-showroom price). (Avoid mentioning prices. Car Exteriors:

• It is a low overhang car with looks, (with) glossy black in the front grille and tailgate.
• Tata's evolving yet familiar design of the front with the black grille but edgier headlight can be quickly recognized.
• It has a low floor clearance and doors open to 90 degrees with ingress leading to a clean rear door.
• The top end XZ variant comes with dual tone roof options, alloy wheels and daytime running lights.
• The car is 3990 mm in length and has a wheelbase of 2501 mm, and 1523mm in height.

• Cabin features include ambient lighting, automatic climate control system with rear AC vents and auto wipers.
• Besides a 7 inch floating Harman multimedia touchscreen with bluetooth and USB connectivity and rear reverse camera in Altroz.
• The driver's seat has adjustable height and the back seating has adjustable rear headrests and the interior appears spacious.
• The 5(five)-speed gearbox offers light gearshifts.
• The space criterion is further fulfilled with a 350 mm large boot.

• The petrol and diesel versions of Altroz are available in 31 variants, The 1.2 litre petrol engine with 3 cylinder unit gives 80 hp and 115 Nm of peak torque like the Tiago, while the diesel engine at 1500 cc comes with a 4 cylinder unit giving 90 hp and 200 Nm of torque with evident turbo lag.
• Both the engines are BS VI compliant.
• Of the two drive modes available in Altroz, City mode is preferable for good mileage over Economy mode.
