The Bajaj Pulsar N150 is a streetbike available in one variant and two colour options. Launched in 2023, the Pulsar N150 aims to capture the hearts of motorcycle enthusiasts with its sporty design and advanced features. As part of Bajaj's strategy to expand its Pulsar series, the N150 slots perfectly into the portfolio alongside models like the N250, N160, and N125. The N150 is one of the entry-level options from Bajaj's N-series. While its design is inspired by the N250 and N160, it is powered by the 149.68 cc motor that previously underpinned the now-discontinued P150. The Bajaj Pulsar N150 has garnered attention not only for its attractive price point but also for its eye-catching looks, robust engine, and a slew of features tailored for urban commuters.
The Bajaj Pulsar N150 is offered at a competitive price of ₹1.25 lakh. Within the range, the STD variant is the sole offering, priced at ₹1,24,730. This pricing strategy positions the N150 as an attractive option for those seeking a powerful yet affordable motorcycle in the competitive Indian market. All aforementioned prices are ex-showroom.
The Bajaj Pulsar N150 was launched in September 2023 as part of the Indian manufacturer's push to revamp its Pulsar lineup. It is powered by the same 149.68 cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine that underpinned the now-discontinued Pulsar P150 streetbike.
Currently, the Bajaj Pulsar N150 comes in one variant—the STD, priced at ₹1,24,890. This fully loaded variant can be had in one of two colour options: Pearl Metallic White and Ebony Black. The N150 is aimed at providing a perfect balance of performance, style, and advanced features.
The design of the Bajaj Pulsar N150 is heavily inspired by its elder siblings in the Pulsar family, particularly the N160. Characterised by sharp lines and an aggressive stance, this motorcycle stands out on the road. The bike puts on an LED projector headlamp at the front, which contributes to its sporty appearance. The side panels are sculpted for a muscular look, while the fuel tank is designed to hold a substantial capacity, ensuring riders can cover long distances with minimal stops. Additionally, the Pulsar N150 comes with a dynamic tail lamp featuring LED technology. Bajaj has offered this model in two striking colour options: Ebony Black, and Pearl Metallic White, ensuring that riders can choose a version that best reflects their personal style.
The Bajaj Pulsar N150's riding position is engaging but not overly aggressive, allowing for both everyday commuting and spirited rides. The seat is plush yet firm, providing adequate support for both rider and pillion, making longer journeys more comfortable. One of the most noteworthy features of the bike is the Infinity Display Console, which is a digital instrument cluster. This console includes essential information such as speed, fuel level, and trip data, along with a USB port conveniently located on the fuel tank for charging mobile devices on the go.
The Bajaj Pulsar N150 is powered by the same 149.68 cc single-cylinder air-cooled motor that is paired with a constant mesh five-speed gearbox. With this, the streetbike is capable of churning out 14.3 bhp at 8,500 rpm and 13.5 Nm of torque at 6,000 rpm. The bike is suspended by telescopic front forks and a rear mono-shock unit. Braking duties are taken up by a 240 mm disc at the front and a 130 mm drum at the rear with single-channel ABS. Bajaj has equipped the Pulsar N150 with an underbelly exhaust for a throaty exhaust note.
According to manufacturer specifications, the Bajaj Pulsar N150 is expected to yield a mileage between 40 to 45 kmpl, depending on riding conditions. Real-world fuel economy figures may vary depending on road conditions and riding style.
Safety is paramount in motorcycle design, and the Bajaj Pulsar N150 places significant emphasis on rider security. Standard safety features include a single-channel ABS, which aids in preventing wheel lock-up during sudden braking, ensuring better control and stability. Alongside reliable braking components—a disc brake at the front and a drum brake at the rear—the N150 is built to handle diverse riding conditions with confidence. In terms of durability, the tubular frame design serves as a stress member, enhancing stability while contributing to the bike's overall performance.
Last year, Bajaj launched a new generation of Pulsars in the Indian market. It started with the N250 and the F250. This year, the manufacturer launched the N160 and the next motorcycle that they will launch is the N150 which will be an entry-level motorcycle for the new generation of Pulsars. Here are the things that you can expect from the upcoming Pulsar N150.
From the spy shots, the Pulsar N150 looks a lot like the N160 which in turn looks like the N250. However, the Pulsar N150 will be more affordable than the other two modes. Because of this, there will be some changes such as the front LED headlamp will be replaced with a halogen one but the design is expected to stay the same. Moreover, the headlamp cowl also looks different from the one found on the N160. It will get an under-belly exhaust just like the N160 and the tail lamp will be an LED unit.
Bajaj will downsize the engine of the Pulsar N160. The current Pulsar 150 produces 14 Ps of max power and 13.2 Nm of peak torque. When compared, the N160 produces 16 Ps of max power and 14.65 Nm of peak torque. Expect the power output of the N150 to be around the current Pulsar 150 but the refinement levels should be better and the engine should be torquey.
In terms of features, the new generation Pulsars do not offer much. The same pattern is expected to be followed with the N150 as well. So, a digital instrument cluster with a tachometer and a bezel-less design is expected to be there. Bajaj could also offer back-lit switchgear and self-cancelling turn indicators. There could be a USB port on offer as well.
The N150 will use the same platform as the N160. Braking duties will be done by a disc in the front and a disc at the rear in the top-end variant whereas the lower variant will have a drum brake at the rear. Both variants will get a single-channel ABS as standard. Suspension duties will be done by telescopic forks in the front and a mono-shock at the rear. The tyres on the N150 will also be slimmer.
