This electric scooter is Hero Electric’s answer to the new generation of EVs. With several utilitarian features, the Hero Electric Nyx HX has appealed to the Indian market.

 Hero Electric Nyx HX Design: 

 

This electric scooter has a mid-2000 era scooter design on the front and a utilitarian rear side. 
Hero Electric has designed this scooter to serve as a commuter as well as functional scooter to carry stuff in the rear. 
A small dashboard below the ignition switch has a bottle holder as well as adequate space to carry a phone and few documents. 
The Hero Electric Nyx HX is available in two colours, Silver and Black. A minimalistic red & white sticker job surrounds the scooter and a green suspension in the rear makes it distinct. 
 

 Hero Electric Nyx HX Dimension: 

 

The Hero Electric Nyx HX is longer than an average electric commuter. It comes equipped with two separate seats where the rear one can be folded to provide as a backrest to the rider. A utility box can be installed in place of the rear seat. 
The back seat could also be removed totally to make way for a bigger utility box. 
The scooter weighs about 80 kilograms. 
 

 Hero Electric Nyx HX Features: 

 

The combi-brake feature ensures better stopping capability as this scooter has drum brakes on both ends. Regenerative braking also allows the battery to charge. 
An all LED lighting setup on this scooter minimizes power consumption when compared to incandescent bulbs. 
The scooter also gets a fully digital instrument cluster with a USB charging socket to charge mobile phones. An anti-theft alarm is also included as standard. 
 

 Hero Electric Nyx HX Engine and Performance: 

 

A 600 watt motor is paired with two 51.2 volt 30 Ampere hours lithium-ion batteries. The Hero Electric Nyx HX has two batteries out of which one can be conveniently charged while not in use. 
The scooter has a top speed of 42kmph. 
 

 Hero Electric Nyx HX Mileage: 

 

Each battery takes four to five hours to charge fully. According to Hero Electric, the Nyx HX gets a riding range of 138 kilometers in a single charge.

The Ola S1 Pro is Ola Electric’s flagship electric scooter on sale and the second generation of
the model arrived in 2023 with a host of upgrades. The update was introduced two years after
the S1 Pro originally went on sale with improvements in tech, battery, thermal efficiency and
performance. The Ola S1 Pro Gen2 gets a heavily revised platform, updated motor, battery
pack and more. It also packs revised hardware and a better range than before.
 
The Ola S1 Pro electric scooter gets a new platform now shared with other models in the Ola e-
scooter family. The same platform extends to the S1 Air, S1 X+ and entry-level S1 X as well.
The new platform has moved from a tubular frame to a hybrid frame architecture. The company
says the new platform uses about 70 per cent fewer parts, which helps lower the weight by 14
per cent and gets a double-sided swingarm instead of a single-sided unit seen on the older
model. The rear subframe has been revised for a stronger and more cost-effective structure.
 
Visually, the Ola S1 Pro looks the same with the single LED headlamp and DRL at the front and
a plain apron but the new platform makes way for a flat floorboard. The new unit is more usable
and brings an additional level of practicality to the electric scooter. The side panels have been
slightly tweaked on the S1 Pro with the covers on either side removed to expose the belt-drive.
The grab rail has also been replaced with a single unit instead of the split grab rails on the
previous version. The new unit though is standard across all the Ola electric scooters.
 
Ola has also made improvements to the powertrain. The new Ola S1 Pro packs an 11 kW
(peak) or 14.7 bhp mid-drive electric motor, while continuous power stands at 5 kW (6.7 bhp).
The numbers are higher than the 6 kW (8 bhp) and 2.7 kW (3.6 bhp) of continuous power
available on the first-generation model. Ola claims 0-40 kmph comes up in 2.6 seconds, while
0-60 kmph comes up in 4.3 seconds. The top speed has gone up to 120 kmph from 90 kmph.
The S1 Pro gets four riding modes - Hyper, Sports, Normal and Eco.
 
The battery pack on the Ola S1 Pro Gen2 has massive upgrades for 25 per cent better thermal
performance and overall efficiency. The company claims a range of 195 km on a single charge
as against 181 km before. On the feature front, the S1 Pro continues to get the 7-inch
touchscreen infotainment system with all the major controls that can be accessed via touch or
switchgear.
 
Colour options on the Ola S1 Pro include - Steller Blue, Midnight Blue, Mat White, Jetblack,
Amethyst, Porcelain White, Neo Mint, Millenial Pink, Matte Black, Marshmellow, Liquid Silver,
Khaki, Jet Black, Gerua, Coral Glam, and Anthracite Grey

Ola Electric has announced the launch of the second generation S1 Pro electric scooter, two years since the model was sold. The Gen2 Ola S1 Pro gets a host of upgrades including a heavily revised platform, updated motor, battery pack and more. The model also arrives with revised hardware and a better range than before. The new Gen2 Ola S1 Pro is priced at ₹147,499 (ex-showroom), making it about ₹7,500 more expensive than before.

The Gen2 Ola S1 Pro e-scooter gets a new platform shared with the new Ola S1 Air. The new platform has moved from a tubular frame to a hybrid frame architecture. Ola says the new platform uses about 70 per cent fewer parts, which helps lower the weight by 14 per cent and gets a double-sided swingarm instead of a single-sided unit seen on the older model. The rear subframe has been reworked as well in order to make the model stronger and more cost-effective to make. The redesigned architecture makes way for a flat footboard, while the grab handle is now shared with the S1 Air.

Power has gone up to 11 kW (peak) or 14.7 bhp, while continuous power output stands at 5 kW (6.7 bhp) from the mid-drive electric motor. In contrast, the Gen1 S1 Pro offered 6 kW (8 bhp) of peak power and 2.7 kW (3.6 bhp) of continuous power. 0-40 kmph now comes up in 2.6 seconds, while 0-60 kmph comes up in 4.3 seconds on the scooter. There are four riding modes - Hyper, Sports, Normal and Eco. The top speed has gone up to 120 kmph, from 90 kmph, while the claimed range now stands at 195 km, as against 181 km on a single charge.

The Gen2 Ola S1 Pro continues to get the 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with all the major controls that can be accessed via touch or switchgear. Ola Electric has also updated the battery for better insulation and a 25 per cent improvement in thermal performance. Bookings for the Gen2 Ola S1 Pro begin today while deliveries will commence from September onwards.&nbsp;
