Using the paddle shifters to change regenerative braking levels is very engaging. It feels like downshifting a manual car and helps in extending the range during city drives.
Very disappointed that Tata removed the spare tyre and only provides a puncture kit. On our roads, a sidewall cut can happen anytime, and a puncture kit is useless then.
Tata’s EZ Charge network is growing fast. I can find a charger almost every 50km on major highways now. It makes me confident to take the Punch EV on longer trips.
The LED projector headlamps have a very good throw and spread. Night driving on unlit roads is much safer now. The auto-high beam feature also works quite accurately.
The NVH levels are incredible. There is no vibration from the motor and the wind noise is well-controlled even at 90kmph. It’s a very relaxing environment to be in.
Tested the hill descent control on a steep slope in Mussoorie. It worked perfectly, maintaining a steady slow speed without me having to touch the brakes. Very impressive tech.
366 liters of boot space is quite generous for a car of this size. We managed to fit two large suitcases for our airport run without any issues. The low loading lip is a plus.
My first service cost was almost zero. No oil changes, no filters, just a general check-up. The maintenance of an EV is so much simpler and cheaper than a traditional petrol car.
The connected LED DRL bar at the front looks amazing at night. It gives the car a very distinctive identity. It looks much more expensive than it actually is from the front.
Sport mode is addictive. The car just leaps forward. I’ve surprised many big SUV owners at the green light with the Punch EV’s acceleration. It’s a pocket rocket!

The lifetime battery warranty on the 40kWh pack was the main reason I went for the top model. It removes any anxiety regarding the long-term health and replacement of the battery.
I feel so good knowing I’m not contributing to the city’s pollution. Charging at home overnight is very convenient and the car is always ready with a full tank every morning.
Why are there no rear AC vents in 2026? While the front cooling is strong, it takes a while for the rear passengers to feel comfortable on a hot summer afternoon in Chennai.
The new dashboard with soft-touch materials and the illuminated Tata logo on the steering wheel looks very classy. It doesn’t feel like a budget car at all from the inside.
The jeweled rotary knob for the gear selector is so easy to use. It adds a touch of luxury to the cabin. The Auto-hold feature at traffic lights is a total blessing for my leg.
The voice-assisted sunroof is a hit with my kids. I can control the AC and music without taking my hands off the wheel. It makes the driving experience very futuristic and safe.
The all-wheel disc brakes on the 40kWh version provide excellent stopping power. The car remains very stable even under hard braking, and the ABS calibration is very smooth.
The Sunlit Yellow with the black roof is such a head-turner. I get compliments at every traffic signal. The paint finish is top-notch and looks very premium under sunlight.
Steering is super light at low speeds, which is great for the city. However, I wish it gained a bit more weight at high speeds for a more connected feel on the expressways.
My running cost has dropped to almost one-third. Even with the battery rental, I am saving nearly 6,000 rupees every month compared to my old diesel car. Very happy owner.
The high seating position gives a great view of the road. It feels like a proper SUV despite the compact dimensions. It’s very easy to get in and out for elderly people.
The 8-speaker Harman system is brilliant. The bass is tight and the vocals are very clear. It’s easily the best-sounding audio system in any car under 15 lakh rupees today.
I love the car but the infotainment system lagged twice last week. It required a hard reset to get the maps working again. Tata needs to push a stable OTA update quickly.
The little storage under the bonnet is so clever. I keep my muddy charging cables there so they don't spoil the main boot. It's a small touch but very practical for daily use.

Practical City SUV
Small size makes it easy to zip through traffic. Plenty of features inside. Rear seat space is the best in segment.
