The Tata Nexon Smart 1.2 Petrol 5MT is a well-rounded compact SUV that offers strong safety, solid performance, and everyday practicality. Its 1.2L turbo petrol engine delivers a confident drive, while the smooth 5-speed manual gearbox appeals to driving enthusiasts. Though it lacks some premium features and real-world mileage is modest, the Nexon stands out for its build quality, comfort, and value—making it a great choice for those prioritizing safety and reliability over luxury.

Great Performance, Just Improve Service
Driving pleasure is high, especially on the highway. The car feels stable and planted at high speeds. Mileage is acceptable, around 17 kmpl on the highway for the petrol manual. TATA service centers need a major overhaul in customer handling.By: Vikash Upadhyay (Dec 11, 2025)

King of the road, safe for family!
The Nexon diesel is a beast on highways. Overtaking is easy with the turbo push. The solid 5-star build quality gives immense peace of mind for my family. The suspension is great for Indian roads.By: Vivek Sharma (Dec 11, 2025)

Styling, Comfort, and Features - All 5-Star
The new design language is fantastic. The digital instrument cluster looks premium. Love the illuminated steering wheel logo. Seats are very comfortable, even for my elderly parents. Best car in its segment, no competition.By: Simran C. (Dec 11, 2025)

Best Value for Money Compact SUV
Bought the new facelift. The look is stunning, really a head-turner. Inside, the new infotainment and the 360 camera are super useful in city traffic. Mileage is decent for a turbo petrol. Service experience has been smooth so far.By: Anjali Mehta (Dec 11, 2025)

Petrol Turbo Lag is Real but Worth It
Initial turbo lag in the petrol engine is definitely there, especially in the first gear. But once it crosses 2000 RPM, the fun begins. The sound system is top-notch. Build quality and paint finish are superb.By: Manoj D. (Dec 11, 2025)

A True Indian Champion
Happy to support an Indian company that focuses on safety. The car feels solid and well-put-together. Servicing is affordable. Only minor con is that the AC touch panel is sometimes slow to respond.By: Balaji T. (Dec 11, 2025)

Diesel AMT - A city commuter dream
Got the diesel AMT. Gearshifts are smooth enough for city driving. It consistently gives me 16+ kmpl mileage in city conditions. Cabin is spacious, but the rear seat is a little too upright. Still, a perfect family car.By: Himanshu Z. (Dec 11, 2025)

The Safety Benchmark is Unmatched
I chose Nexon only for the 5-star rating and it truly feels like a tank. The high ground clearance is a blessing on bad village roads. Is it good for long trips? Absolutely, drove 800 km in a day without back pain.By: Rajesh P. (Dec 11, 2025)

Feature-Packed SUV for the Price
So many features for this price point! Sunroof, cooled glove box, cruise control... it’s all there. The LED lighting inside and out gives it a high-end feel. No major mechanical faults, only one time the TPMS showed a false reading, which was easily fixed.By: Alok Prasad (Dec 11, 2025)
