The Tata Harrier EV has been launched with a starting ex-showroom price tag of ₹21.49 lakh and comes with two battery pack configurations with all-wheel drive capabilities. First showcased at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025 and earlier at Auto Expo 2023, the all-new EV is positioned as Tata Motors’ flagship electric offering. Developed as part of the brand's expanding EV portfolio, it incorporates all-electric architecture with design and feature elements carried over from its ICE-powered sibling, along with EV-specific enhancements.
The Tata Harrier EV price starts from ₹21.49 lakh (ex-showroom). Bookings for the electric SUV will commence on July 2, 2025.
The Tata Harrier EV was launched in India on June 3, 2025, and it is the flagship all-electric vehicle from the portfolio. The battery electric SUV debuts the brand’s latest acti.ev plus architecture and brings back AWD to the Tata lineup.
The Harrier EV is available across five trim levels, which are Pure, Creative, Accomplished, Fearless, and Empowered. It will be offered in four colour options, including Nainital Nocturnal, Empowered Oxide, Pure Grey, and Pristine White. There is also a special blacked-out Stealth edition available.
In terms of exterior design, the Tata Harrier EV largely mirrors its ICE-powered sibling. However, it includes distinct EV-specific updates such as a closed-off front grille, a redesigned air dam, a revised skid plate, and unique aerodynamically optimised alloy wheels.
The cabin layout and features are largely retained from the standard Harrier, and key features include the panoramic sunroof, dual-zone automatic climate control, ventilated front seats, a 540-degree surround camera, and dual digital displays. It gets a new 14.5-inch Samsung Neo QLED touchscreen infotainment alongside a 10.25-inch instrument cluster. There is a new rotary dial to select between multiple terrain modes, including Normal, Sand, Mud, Ruts, Snow/Grass, Rock Crawl, and Custom.
Drivers gain access to the new key fob, which brings 11 features such as remote start, summon forward and reverse, remote park in/out, among others. The Harrier EV further brings advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS) and connected car technology. Additional EV-oriented functions such as Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) and Vehicle-to-Vehicle (V2V) charging capabilities are expected to be integrated as part of its standard equipment list.
The Harrier EV is built around Tata’s dedicated acti.ev plus architecture and brings all-wheel drive capabilities. It is currently the only vehicle in the manufacturer’s lineup to offer an AWD drivetrain. The EV is offered with a choice of two battery packs and two electric motor configurations. The lower-spec variants are available with the 65 kWh battery pack, while a 75 kWh battery pack powers higher trim levels. The latter allows for two motor configurations – RWD or QWD. The QWD variants make 391 bhp and 504 Nm of torque. The MIDC range of the RWD variants with the 75 kWh battery is 627 km, with C75 real-world range of 480 to 505 km.
The Harrier EV uses 57.5 per cent special grade steel and gets 62 per cent better torsional support. With this, Tata says it is making it capable of getting a five-star safety rating from the Bharat NCAP. The car comes with Level 2 ADAS with 22 advanced safety features, including adaptive cruise control, intelligent speed assistant, 540-degree surround camera, and more.
The Tata Harrier EV will compete with other mid-size electric SUVs in the Indian market, including the MG ZS EV, BYD Atto 3, and Mahindra XEV 9e.
