Skoda Kylaq: Overview

The Skoda Kylaq is a sub-compact SUV positioned strategically between the smaller crossover class and compact SUV category. Launched in November 2024, it marks the Czech carmaker’s latest effort under its India 2.0 strategy. Based on the MQB-A0 IN platform shared with the Kushaq and Slavia, the Kylaq is tailored to meet the specific needs of Indian buyers in Tier-2 and Tier-3 markets while also appealing to urban consumers seeking a modern and efficient SUV. The 2024 Kylaq combines the brand’s signature European design sensibilities with competitive pricing, robust build quality, and a feature-rich cabin.

On July 22, 2025, Skoda recalled 860 units of the Kylaq, Kushaq, and Slavia manufactured between December 2021 and January 2025 to address a potential seatbelt issue affecting both front and rear passengers.

The Skoda Kylaq price ranges between ₹7.89 lakh and ₹14.44 lakh (ex-showroom). The Kylaq was launched in India in November 2024. It is Skoda’s third model under the India 2.0 initiative, following the Kushaq SUV and Slavia sedan.

The Kylaq is available in four variants: Classic, Signature, Signature+, and Prestige. The Classic variant offers essential safety features with fabric upholstery and manual seat adjustment. The SUV offers a spacious cabin with fabric or leatherette upholstery, depending on the variant. It offers a panoramic sunroof in higher trims, ventilated front seats, and dual-zone climate control. A fully digital instrument cluster and 10-inch infotainment touchscreen with wireless smartphone connectivity make the cabin both contemporary and functional.

The 2024 Skoda Kylaq offers a strong safety package with up to six airbags, ABS with EBD, ESC, and ISOFIX child seat mounts.
