The Porsche Macan EV has been introduced at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025, marking the launch of the second-generation all-electric version of Porsche’s luxury SUV. The previous model was available exclusively as the Macan Turbo Electric, but for the 2025 model year, the lineup has expanded to three variants. The latest iteration of the Macan EV is built on the Premium Platform Electric (PPE) architecture, featuring advanced battery technology and an upgraded drivetrain. The SUV offers enhanced performance and driving dynamics, with the most powerful Turbo Electric variant producing up to 630 bhp with Overboost.
The 2025 Porsche Macan Electric is offered in three variants and the entry-level model is available at an ex-showroom price tag of ₹1.21 crore. The mid-spec Macan 4S Electric is priced at ₹1.38 crore (ex-showroom) and the Turbo Electric variant tops the range at ₹1.68 crore (ex-showroom).
The new Porsche Macan EV was launched at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025 held in New Delhi on January 17, 2025. This marks the second generation of the all-electric SUV, with the first-gen model having been launched a year prior. While the first-gen Macan EV was only available in the top-spec Turbo Electric variant, it is now offered in three distinct variants for the 2025 model year. Prices range from ₹1.21 crore (ex-showroom) to ₹1.68 crore (ex-showroom).
The Porsche Macan Electric is available in three main variants in India, starting with the base model which is priced at ₹1.21 crore (ex-showroom). This model makes 355 bhp of maximum power with an overall WLTP range of 536 km to 641 km on a single charge. In this spec, the Macan EV tops out at 220 kmph, sprinting from a standstill to 100 kmph in 5.7 seconds with launch control. The mid-spec 4S Electric variant is priced at ₹1.38 crore (ex-showroom) and makes 508.9 bhp with an overall WLTP range of 512 km to 606 km on a single charge. It tops out at 240 kmph and goes from 0 to 100 kmph in 4.1 seconds with launch control. The Turbo Electric variant fetches ₹1.68 crore (ex-showroom), raising maximum power to 639 bhp. Topping out at 260 kmph, this variant gives out an overall WLTP range of between 518 km to 590 km. With its specifications, the Macan Turbo Electric goes from 0 to 100 kmph in 3.3 seconds.
As is the case with all Porsches, the Macan Electric is available with a wide range of colour options, with buyers retaining the paint-to-sample option. Apart from this, the battery electric SUV is offered with standard colour options such as Jet Black, Ice Grey, Volcano Grey, Dolomite Silver, Provence, Gentian Blue, Frozenblue, Papaya, Oak Green, Aventurine Green, Copper Ruby, Slate Grey Neo.
The Porsche Macan EV features design elements derived from the Taycan, with a set of four LED daytime running lights (DRLs) integrated into the front fascia. The rear section includes a coupe-like profile with a new set of connected LED taillights. The cabin of the Porsche Macan EV follows a layout similar to that of the Porsche Cayenne, incorporating a driver-focused digital interface. The vehicle comes standard with a 12.6-inch curved digital instrument cluster and a 10.9-inch infotainment touchscreen. The top-spec variant is equipped with a triple-screen setup, while an optional 10.9-inch passenger-side display is available for added functionality.
The Porsche Macan EV is powered by a 100 kWh battery pack and is built on the Premium Platform Electric (PPE) architecture. The vehicle supports fast charging at up to 270 kW, allowing it to charge from 10 per cent to 80 per cent in approximately 21 minutes under optimal conditions.
The Macan Turbo Electric produces 576 bhp in standard mode, but output can be raised to 630 bhp and 1,130 Nm of torque with Overboost and Launch Control activated. The Turbo 4S variant, which is also available in India, delivers 442 bhp in standard mode and can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.9 seconds.
Performance-oriented features in the Macan EV include Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) with electronic damping control, Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus, and rear-axle steering for improved handling dynamics.
The Porsche Macan Electric offers 84 litres of front trunk space and up to 540 litres of rear boot space.
