The Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza or just Vitara Brezza is a Subcompact crossover SUV. In India, though, it falls under the category of compact SUVs. The first Suzuki vehicle designed completely in India, Vitara Brezza has gained so much popularity that Toyota, under its Indian subsidiary, rebranded and launched it as Urban Cruiser. In 2017, after one year of its launch, Brezza was named as Indian car of the year.
Exterior
The Vitara Brezza provides an SUV look in the first look. The front section of the vehicle has got a new bumper, full LED dual projector headlamps and new alloy wheels as compared to its previous models. The new front chrome radiator grille and bigger fog lamps are introduced as an improvement to its older variants. To give an SUV look, the compact SUV is provided with roof rails as well. However, the roof rails, as well as the LED headlamps, come only in VXI and higher variants. The back of the car is also provided with LED tail lamps In terms of dimension, Vitara Brezza comes with a form factor of 3995×1790×1640 mm. While Brezza has a wheelbase of 2500mm, its ground clearance measures 198mm. Vitara Bezza is offered by Maruti Suzuki in 6 single tone colours and 3 dual-tone colours.
Interior
The first noticeable interior feature of the Vitara Brezza is its leather-wrapped steering and new pattern used for seat covers. The car comes with a big infotainment screen which can be controlled easily with a smartphone. The automatic headlamps and wipers, sliding arms rests are also some of the enhanced features of this vehicle. The cabin comes in black colour, and the boot space of the car is 328 litres. The car comes in both automatic and manual transmission.
Engine
The Vitara Brezza is equipped with BS6 compliant K series 1.5litre four cylinders 1462cc petrol engine. The engine offers a max power of 104.69 ps at 6000 rpm, while the max torque stands at 138 nm at 4400 rpm. As far as the economy is concerned, Maruti Suzuki claims that the manual transmission variant has a mileage of 17.03 km/l while the automatic transmission variant comes with a mileage of 18.76 km/l.
Safety features
In terms of safety features, the Vitara Brezza is equipped with 2 airbags for the driver and the co-passenger. The compact SUV also comes equipped with an ABS along with an EBD. Suzuki has also equipped this vehicle with its own Total Effective Control Technology (TECT) to provide the car body with an impact absorption mechanism that strengthens the cabin in case of any untoward incident.
