Mahindra's popular XUV500 SUV is a huge, seven-seater with a monocoque body. It has the proper appearance and feel, and Mahindra's frequent improvements have made it even more enjoyable to drive. The XUV500 is offered in petrol-auto, diesel-manual, and diesel-auto configurations, with all-wheel drive optional on its diesel variant.

Car Exteriors:

The Mahindra XUV500 has a wheelbase of 2700 mm and measures 4585 mm in length, 1890 mm in width, and 1785 mm in height. The SUV features a redesigned toothed style grille up front, as well as horizontal LED DRLs above the headlamps. The fog lamp design is similar to its predecessor, but it now includes chrome Inserts for a more premium look. The SUV has black plastic side skirting and integrated turning winkers on the outside rear vision mirrors. The tail lamp design has been changed significantly, it is smaller and the tail-lamps are splitted into clusters.

Cabin comfort and interior:

The Mahindra XUV500 is roomy, with seating for up to seven persons. Depending on the variation, the seats are available in leather, jacquard, or premium fabric. The XUV500's dashboard is made of soft-touch synthetic leather and has delicate stitch lines on the console and door trimmings. The steering wheel, instrument console, and air conditioning controls are all identical to the previous model. There's also a 6-way power-adjustable seat and an anti-pinch electric sunroof. It comes with a 7-inch touchscreen and lumbar support adjustment for the ideal driving position.

Engine and Speed:

The Mahindra XUV500 is powered by the mHawk155 Diesel Engine, which is a 6th Generation eVGT. The 2.2-litre diesel engine in the BS6 SUV produces 155 horsepower and 360 Nm of torque. The gearbox comes with a 6-Speed Synchromesh and an automatic 6-Speed transmission. The engine is also equipped with Dual Mass Flywheel for smoother gear-shift. A 140hp, 2.2-litre petrol engine paired to a 6-speed automated gearbox is new to the XUV500 petrol variant.

Safety Features:

For extra protection, the Mahindra XUV500 comes standard with disc brakes on all four wheels and an Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS) with electronic brake force distribution (EBD). Rain sensing wipers, child sensing lock, hill assist, braking assist, automated headlamps, and other safety features included in the SUV.
