Mahindra – A Symbol of True Power
The front look is good, but it could still be improved. The rear design is excellent, and overall, the vehicle looks perfect. I would also like to request Mahindra to relaunch the Major, as it is the heart of India and a symbol of pride for businessmen and villagers alike. Engine Noise is High
The 3-cylinder petrol engine is quite noisy and unrefined when you push it hard. Sounds like a small truck. It's fine for cruising, but the initial pickup is loud. The comfort is good, and it feels safe, but the engine refinement is a major letdown.Read full Review
Just an Average Performer
It's an okay car. The engine is powerful but feels a bit unrefined compared to rivals. City mileage is below expectation (around 12 kmpl for the non-TGDi petrol). The top model is overpriced for a sub-4m SUV. I wish the build quality was backed up by better in-cabin refinement.Read full Review
Styling is Too Polarizing
The new front look is very aggressive and divides opinion a lot. I personally liked the old XUV300 design better. The oversized DRLs are a bit much. Technically sound car, but the look is not for everyone. The ride is decent, but the engine is noisy at high RPMs.Read full Review
Decent Mileage, Great Performance
I'm getting a consistent 16.5 kmpl (mixed driving) on the diesel manual. That's decent, not great, not bad. Performance is excellent, which makes me forgive the mileage a bit. Is the XUV 3XO good for family? Yes, because of the space and safety.Read full Review
Spacious Cabin but Compromised Boot
Excellent legroom and shoulder room in the rear. Definitely one of the roomiest cabins in the segment. But for a weekend trip, the 364L boot space is just about adequate, not great. It's a trade-off for the good rear seat space. Great for a family of five.Read full Review
Few Quality Control Issues
The car is just 4 months old, and I have had a couple of niggles. The panoramic sunroof makes a rattling sound on bad roads, and the door rubbers seem to be coming off. The service center is slow to fix these small quality control issues.Read full Review
Almost Perfect Compact SUV
The car has everything—power, safety, space. It’s a very competent compact SUV. My only minor gripe is the white interior theme which gets dirty very easily and is difficult to maintain with kids. A darker option would have been better for practicality.Read full Review
Overpriced Top-End Variant
The AX7 L variant on-road price is crossing into Creta/Seltos territory. At that price, I'd expect a larger car and better interior fit-and-finish. The Level 2 ADAS is mostly a gimmick in the city. It's only worth considering the mid-spec for its value proposition.Read full Review
Feature Overload, Few Practical Glitches
Level 2 ADAS is impressive, but sometimes it gives false forward collision warnings in heavy traffic, which is a bit unsettling. The ADAS is not fully calibrated for aggressive Indian driving conditions yet. The car itself is great, just a few software issues.Read full Review
