The Mahindra XEV 9e is the flagship all-electric SUV from the Indian automaker, starting at ₹21.90 lakh (ex-showroom) for the base Pack 1 variant. Officially unveiled on November 26, 2024, the XEV 9e is one of the first two SUVs built on Mahindra's dedicated EV platform known as INGLO. This vehicle represents the largest and most expensive offering from Mahindra & Mahindra to date. As the inaugural model in the company's new XEV lineup of premium electric vehicles, the Mahindra XEV 9e marks a significant expansion within the Indian electric passenger vehicle market.
The Mahindra XEV 9e gets a starting price of ₹21.90 lakh for the base Pack 1 variant. Deliveries are scheduled from the end of February 2025 to March 2025. There are four total variants available, with Pack Two costing ₹24.90 lakh. The Pack Three Select variant is available at ₹27.90 lakh and the range-topping Pack Three with the 79 kWh battery pack comes at ₹30.50 lakh. All aforementioned prices are ex-showroom. Mahindra offers buyers with the choice between a 7.2 kW and an 11.2 kW charger. The former fetches an additional ₹50,000 over the ex-showroom price of the chosen variant, while the latter costs ₹75,000.
The Mahindra XEV 9e was officially unveiled at an event in Chennai, on November 26, 2025. It debuted alongside the BE 6e, and both are the first two electric SUVs to be built by Mahindra on their dedicated electric vehicle platform, known as INGLO. The battery electric SUV was first launched in the base Pack One guise, with other variants following suit shortly after.
The INGLO platform is compatible with both 59 kWh and 79 kWh battery pack options. The Mahindra XEV 9e is offering four variants in total, which are Pack One, Pack Two, Pack Three Select, and Pack Three. The Pack One variant will be available at a starting ex-showroom price of ₹21.90 lakh (ex-showroom) and will offer the 59 kWh battery pack. This continues until the range-topping Pack Three which offers the 79 kWh battery pack at ₹30.50 lakh (ex-showroom).
The Mahinda XEV 9e features a connected LED lightbar at the front alongside a vertical LED unit. The all-electric SUV gets a closed grille and a swooping bonnet, and it features end-to-end connected LED taillamps. It rides on 19-inch alloys with aero covers in the base variant, while the top-spec Pack 3 is expected to feature a 20-inch option. Coming to the inside, the XEV 9e has its cabin upholstered in premium fabric, and the driver gets a height-adjustable seat and a twin-spoke multifunction steering wheel. The steering wheel further features haptic and toggle buttons, with ADAS aids on the right side and an illuminated logo at the centre.
The cabin further receives a triple-screen setup on the dashboard and it combines three 12.3-inch displays powered by Mahindra’s Adrenox. Other features include a wireless smartphone charger, a 16-speaker setup, and a large panoramic sunroof.
The INGLO platform is capable of supporting both 59 kWh and 79 kWh battery pack options. Mahindra says the XEV 9e is equipped with lithium-iron phosphate (LFP) battery packs, which offer enhanced thermal protection. The SUV is compatible for fast-charging, claiming to go from 10 per cent to 80 per cent in under 20 minutes with a 175 kW DC fast charger. The electric powertrains offered with the XEV 9e is capable of delivering between 224 bhp and 278 bhp to the rear wheels. Mahindra has further stated that the 79 kWh battery pack is capable of offering a certified 656 km single-charge range (MIDC P1+P2). With this, the XEV 9e can make the 0-100 kmph sprint in 6.8 seconds.
Mahindra claims that the XEV 9e in its top-spec variant with the 79 kWh battery pack is capable of offering a claimed 656 km of single-charge range. The smaller 59 kWh battery pack that is available with the rest of the lineup allows for a claimed 542 km of single-charge range.
The Mahindra XEV 9e brings an overall ground clearance of 207 mm. The electric SUV offers 663 litres of boot space with a 150-litre frunk.

The Mahindra XEV 9e has scored a five-star safety rating at the Bharat NCAP crash tests and features an expansive list of safety features. It comes with seven airbags and features a ultra-high-strength boron steel frame and a protective cage around the cabin. It comes with all-wheel disc brakes with brake-by-wire tech. It further features ADAS with a broad range of features.
The Mahindra XEV 9e is positioned as an all-electric coupe-SUV priced from ₹21.90 lakh (ex-showroom). In its segment, it is pitted against the Tata Curvv EV among others.
