Introduction

While Mahindra and Mahindra have already launched two electric SUVs based on a dedicated electric platform, the XEV 9E and the BE 6, the automaker is expected to bring out another offering bearing the BE brand. The Mahindra BE.05 has been spotted testing on Indian roads since late 2024 and is expected to make a debut in October 2025. It will be built on Mahindra’s INGLO platform, which has been designed and developed for electric cars.

Inside, the new Mahindra BE.05 electric SUV will feature a dual-spoke multifunction steering wheel with backlit BE badging. There will also be a dual digital screen setup that combines the instrument cluster with the touchscreen infotainment system. It also features an aeroplane-inspired gear lever, drive mode selection, front armrest, start-stop button, and cup holders. A heads-up display and Level 2 ADAS suite may also be available.

The upcoming electric SUV will be based on the automaker's INGLO architecture, which has been designed and developed for electric cars. Expect the SUV to receive a 60 kWh battery pack paired with dual electric motors, teaching powering one axle. Also, expect the SUV to promise a range of about 500 km per charge.

Best EV with bold new style

Recently I got a chance to check out the upcoming Mahindra BE.05 and I must say that it is one of the most stylish EVs I have seen in the Indian market. The SUV like design, sharp LED lighting and bold stance make it stand out on the road. Inside the cabin feels premium and minimalistic, the dual screens and futuristic steering add to its ambience. Though it is yet to hit the roads, the expected performance (up to 500 range and brisk acceleration) sounds impressive. The Mahindra INGLO platform looks promising and if their servicing matches their current line up, ownership should be seamless. Mileage (range) is a big plus, especially with fast charging support. Overall, if you are looking for bold design + electric performance then this is the perfect EV for you.
