The Mahindra BE.6 is an electric SUV that looks straight out of a science-fiction video game. With a range of up to 682 km (about 450 km in reality), 0-100 km/h in 6.7 seconds, and sharp coupe styling, it embodies “future with attitude”. Two 12.3-inch screens, MAIA AI, and a 16-speaker Harman Kardon setup keep things hip inside. Safety is top-notch with 5-star Bharat NCAP and Level-2 ADAS. But rear space is tight, charging infrastructure is still developing, and prices have reached the luxury range.By: Sujal (Aug 3, 2025)

Impressive with Mahindra BE 6
I’ve been driving the Mahindra BE.06 (Pack 3 – 79 kWh) for about a week now, and I wanted to share my early impressions. This is my first EV, and overall, the experience has been great so far.
The futuristic design instantly grabs attention, and the build quality feels solid and premium. The cabin is spacious and loaded with features — from the large infotainment display to the ambient lighting and connected tech, everything feels well thought out.
Performance-wise, the BE.06 delivers smooth, instant torque, and the ride quality is quiet and refined. The 79 kWh battery offers a reassuring range, and charging at home has been convenient. Regenerative braking works well and takes a bit of time to get used to but adds to overall efficiency.
The design is definitely a highlight. It looks futuristic and stands out on the road. I’ve already had a few strangers ask about it at signals. The LED lighting, sloping roofline, and bold front end make it feel like something in the ₹40L+ range.
Driving it has been fun. Acceleration is quick and smooth—instant torque makes overtaking easy. One-pedal drive is surprisingly useful for city traffic. Ride quality is firm but comfortable, and the car feels stable even at higher speeds.
Real-world range has been around 440–460 km in mixed driving with AC on. That’s less than the 682 km claimed, but it’s realistic and works for my daily use. I use the 11 kW home charger overnight, and a DC fast charger got me from 18% to 80% in just over 20 minutes.
The cabin feels premium. The twin screens are sharp, the HUD is useful, and the Harman Kardon sound system is excellent. Space in the front is great, but rear legroom is just okay if you’re tall. Boot access is a bit high due to the coupe-like design.A few small issues: The touchscreen sometimes lags when starting up, especially in heat. Glossy black plastics smudge easily. Rear visibility isn’t great because of the narrow back window. And there’s no spare tyre—just a puncture kit.
That said, I’m really enjoying it. The BE 6 feels modern, well-built, and thoughtfully designed. Mahindra has done a good job balancing style, tech, and practicality. If you're looking to switch to an EV and want something that looks unique, this one is worth a serious look.By: Avinash rajput (Jul 21, 2025)

The Mahindra BE6 is a bold new addition to Mahindra’s all-electric lineup, positioned as a premium mid-size SUV built on the brand's advanced INGLO platform. With a futuristic design and cutting-edge technology, the BE6 is designed to compete in the fast-growing EV market in India. It features a sleek coupe-like silhouette, a striking C-shaped LED DRL signature, flush door handles, aero alloy wheels, and a full-width rear light bar – all of which give it a distinctive road presence.
Inside, the BE6 offers a high-tech and premium experience. The cabin is equipped with dual 12.3-inch screens – one for the driver cluster and another for infotainment – powered by Snapdragon 8295 hardware. It supports wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. A panoramic sunroof, ambient lighting (GrooveME), and ventilated front seats further enhance comfort. The car also features a Harman Kardon sound system in higher variants, making it suitable for tech-savvy buyers who value luxury and innovation.
Performance-wise, the BE6 is offered with two battery options – 59 kWh and 79 kWh – delivering up to 286 hp and a claimed range of over 650 km (ARAI). In real-world conditions, users report a practical range of around 450–500 km for the larger battery. It supports fast charging with 175 kW DC chargers, allowing 20% to 80% charge in just 20 minutes. Rear-wheel drive gives it a sporty feel, and 0-100 km/h acceleration takes under 7 seconds in the top variant.
