The Mahindra BE 07 is an upcoming fully electric SUV expected to be introduced in India by October 2026. It will be positioned in the mid-size SUV segment and is comparable in size to the Tata Harrier. The BE 07 is part of Mahindra's broader plan to launch a new generation of electric vehicles based on the INGLO platform, which incorporates components sourced from Volkswagen’s MEB platform, such as battery packs and electric motors.
The BE 07 is expected to be available in at least two variants. Pricing is projected to range between ₹25 lakh and ₹30 lakh (ex-showroom), depending on the chosen configuration and features. These variants may differ in terms of drivetrain layout, battery capacity, and additional equipment.
The BE 07 is expected to launch in India by August 2025, however, Mahindra is yet to state any official launch timeline or confirmation.
The exterior design of the BE 07 showcases a sloping roofline, a blanked-off front grille, C-shaped LED headlamps, LED taillamps, and flush surfaces that align with contemporary electric SUV styling. Blacked-out pillars, roof rails, and large alloy wheels further contribute to its appearance. Inside, the dashboard features a wide-screen layout that integrates three digital displays across its width. Additional features expected in the production version include a panoramic sunroof, a heads-up display, multiple connected features through OTA updates, and an advanced driver assistance system (ADAS) suite.
The Mahindra BE 07 will be built on the new INGLO platform, which is capable of supporting battery capacities of 60 kWh and 80 kWh. The larger 80kWh battery pack is expected to offer a WLTP-certified range of up to 450 kilometres. The vehicle will support fast charging up to 175kW, enabling a 10 to 80 per cent charge in approximately 30 minutes. Powertrain options will include rear-wheel drive, producing up to 281 bhp and all-wheel drive, producing up to 388 bhp. This modular platform allows flexibility in performance outputs, catering to different driving needs and efficiency targets.
BYD Atto 3, Mahindra XEV 9e, Tata Harrier EV and BYD eMAX 7 are sought to be the major rivals to Mahindra BE 07.
