The Honda Amaze is the brand’s compact sedan offering for the Indian market and sits as the most affordable sedan in Honda’s current portfolio. The model received its latest generation update in December 2024, bringing refreshed styling, new features, and enhanced safety technology. Notably, it became the first compact sedan in India to offer the Honda Sensing ADAS suite, which includes advanced driver assistance features previously reserved for more premium models. Positioned in the highly competitive compact sedan segment, the Amaze competes with the Maruti Suzuki Dzire, Hyundai Aura, and Tata Tigor. Its appeal lies in a balance of practicality, fuel efficiency, and Honda’s refined 1.2-litre i-VTEC petrol engine.

I’ve been using the Honda Amaze V 1.2 Petrol MT for the past few months and it has truly exceeded my expectations. The car looks stylish with a bold front grille and sleek design, which gives it a premium feel. The interiors are spacious and comfortable, especially for city drives and short trips.
Performance-wise, the 1.2L petrol engine delivers a smooth and refined driving experience. Gear shifting is easy and the ride quality is quite impressive even on slightly rough roads. One of the biggest highlights is the fuel efficiency — I’m consistently getting around 17-18 km/l in city conditions, which is great for daily commuting.
Servicing and maintenance costs are also reasonable, and Honda's service network is reliable. The boot space is ample for weekend getaways, and the AC cooling is excellent. Overall, it's a great value-for-money package for anyone looking for a dependable and stylish compact sedan..By: Riya (Jul 22, 2025)
