The Honda Amaze is the brand’s compact sedan offering for the Indian market and sits as the most affordable sedan in Honda’s current portfolio. Honda Amaze: Launch Date
The third-generation Honda Amaze was launched in India on December 4, 2024. This marked the continuation of the model’s successful run since its first launch as the Brio Amaze in 2013, when it became Honda’s first diesel-powered car in India. The second-generation model was unveiled at the 2018 Auto Expo and introduced a new platform derived from the Honda City, offering more cabin space and structural rigidity. The 2024 update builds on this foundation with revised styling, enhanced comfort features, and the addition of advanced safety technology. Its latest update in September 2025 added a new Crystal Black Pearl option to its colour palette.
Honda Amaze: Variants & Colours
The 2024 Honda Amaze is available in three trim levels – V, VX, and ZX – and a total of six variants when gearbox options are considered. These include the V 1.2 Petrol MT, VX 1.2 Petrol MT, ZX 1.2 Petrol MT, as well as the V, VX, and ZX 1.2 Petrol CVT. Honda offers six exterior paint choices for the Amaze: Golden Brown Metallic, Lunar Silver Metallic, Meteoroid Grey Metallic, Radiant Red Metallic, Platinum White Pearl, and Obsidian Blue Pearl. A newly introduced Crystal Black Pearl finish further expands the colour palette, giving buyers more customisation options across all variants.

Under the hood, the Amaze retains its tried-and-tested 1.2-litre naturally aspirated i-VTEC petrol engine, which produces 89 bhp at 6,000 rpm and 110 Nm of torque at 4,800 rpm. Buyers can choose between a five-speed manual transmission or a smooth CVT automatic, both tuned for a balance between drivability and efficiency.
On the outside, the Amaze features LED projector headlamps with integrated DRLs, redesigned wing-shaped LED tail lamps, and a set of 15-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels. The cabin is equipped with front bucket seats and four choices of upholstery finish depending on the variant. Interior highlights include a floating 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, the same unit seen on the Honda Elevate, as well as a new 7-inch semi-digital instrument cluster. Comfort-oriented features include rear AC vents, upgraded blower motor with a 2.5 HEPA filter, automatic climate control, wireless phone charging, and a rear centre armrest with cup holders. The boot space is measured at 416 litres, while the ground clearance stands at 172 mm.

The sedan now comes with over 28 active and passive safety features. The biggest update is the inclusion of the Honda Sensing ADAS suite, making it the first car in its segment to offer features such as adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist, and automatic emergency braking. Additional safety equipment includes six airbags, Vehicle Stability Assist (VSA), hill-start assist, ABS with EBD, and a rear-view camera, ensuring compliance with the latest safety norms and improving occupant protection.
