Endeavour has been classified as an SUV. Endeavour has been successfully battling Toyota’s Fortuner in the Indian market for a long while, especially since its second-generation variants came in 2016.
Exterior:
The Endeavour stands out when it comes to the exterior. The body appears strong and solid in the first look. The signature headlamps, along with the LED projector unit, provide a great look from the front. A larger chrome-laden grille in front added with Endeavour’s insignia just beside the front doors at both sides provide a heavy aesthetic look. However, what adds more beauty to its look is the 18inch dual-tone alloy wheels and a sporty backside with endeavour written chrome slat. The tail lamps at back also have LEDs inserted. The SUV comes with a dimension of 4903×1869×1837 mm. The wheelbase measures 2850mm. Also, Ford’s Endeavour stands tall at a ground clearance of 225mm. The Car is available in three colours viz. White, black and silver.
Interior:
The flagship cabin of Endeavour comes in black and beige colours and looks premium. All seven seats are leather upholstered. The panoramic sunroof, provided with eight-way power-adjustable seats for both driver and front passenger are some of its other main features. Endeavour’s 8-inch infotainment screen, called Sync3 is best in the SUV segment. The power-folding third-row seat is also an important feature of Car’s interior. Endeavour is provided with a mammoth 450 litres of boot space.
Engine:
Ford has provided its new 1996cc EcoBlue engine in its flagship SUV for the Indian market. T 2.0litre EcoBlue diesel engine comes with a power of 170 ps. The 420 nm torque provided with 10speed automatic transmission makes the car drive smooth and powerful. According to Ford, its optimised gear spacing provides better responsiveness, acceleration and performance.
Safety features:
Ford is known to emphasise heavily upon the safety features of its vehicles. Ford’s Endeavour provides seven safety bags, including one for the driver’s knees. ABS with EBD, Electronic Stability Control with Rollover Stability and Traction Control, reverse parking camera and front parking sensors are the other important security features provided by the SUV. Also, Ford claims that the Endeavour is made from ultra-high-strength steel, which comprises a large portion of its security features.
