BYD Sealion 7: Overview

The BYD Sealion 7 is a performance-focused all-electric SUV available in India. It was unveiled at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025 in New Delhi and launched on February 17, 2025, with deliveries starting in March 2025. The four-door crossover represents BYD’s fourth model in India after the Atto 3, Seal, and eMax 7. The Sealion 7 combines a sleek fastback design with advanced electric powertrains and a premium feature set, targeting customers seeking a high-performance electric SUV with long range and cutting-edge technology.

The BYD Sealion 7 is priced at ₹48.9 lakh (ex-showroom) for the Premium variant and ₹54.9 lakh (ex-showroom) for the Performance variant.

BYD Sealion 7: Launch Date

The Sealion 7 made its India debut at the Auto Expo 2025 in January and was officially launched on February 17, 2025, with deliveries commencing in March 2025.

BYD Sealion 7: Variants & Colours

The SUV is available in two variants: Premium and Performance. The Premium variant is rear-wheel-drive, powered by a 308 bhp rear electric motor, producing 380 Nm of torque with a claimed single-charge range of 567 km. The Performance variant features all-wheel-drive with an additional 214.5 bhp front motor, offering a combined output of 522.9 bhp and 690 Nm of torque, achieving 0–100 kmph in 4.5 seconds with a claimed range of 542 km. Exterior colour options include Atlantis Gray, Aurora White, Shark Grey, and Cosmos Black.

BYD Sealion 7: Battery & Range

Both variants use an 82.6 kWh battery pack. The Premium RWD model delivers 308 bhp and 380 Nm, accelerating from 0–100 kmph in 6.7 seconds with a claimed range of 567 km. The Performance AWD variant produces 522.9 bhp and 690 Nm, achieving 0–100 kmph in 4.5 seconds and a claimed range of 542 km.

BYD Sealion 7: Specs & Features

The Sealion 7 has a fastback design with a sloping roofline, sweptback LED headlights, LED DRLs, flared wheel arches with black cladding, and wraparound LED taillights with a dual-tone bumper and rear spoiler. The cabin features a panoramic sunroof, a 15.6-inch rotating infotainment display, a 10.25-inch digital driver’s cluster, and a heads-up display. Comfort and convenience features include dual-zone climate control, power-adjustable front seats with ventilation and heating, wireless smartphone integration, and an advanced ADAS suite. The SUV also includes 11 airbags, parking sensors, a 360-degree camera, intelligent power brake system, traction control, EBD, hill hold assist, auto hold, automatic emergency braking, lane-keeping assistance, adaptive cruise control, traffic alerts, and blind-spot detection.

BYD Sealion 7: Offers & Deals

At present, BYD is not offering any specific schemes but interested buyers are recommended to check with the nearest dealership for exchange bonuses, financing options, and early-bird benefits on select variants. Customers may also avail seasonal offers or partner bank incentives, subject to dealership availability.
