TVS Apache RR 310
A homebred series introduced by TVS in 2005, the Apache was developed to catch up to rivals in the entry-level performance motorcycle category. The Apache RR 310, first launched in 2017, saw major technology updates on the 2020 and new BSVI models which gave a slight advantage on the throttle response and ride modes.

TVS Apache RR 310 Price:
TVS launched the Apache RR 310 at a price tag of 2.55 Lakhs ex-showroom price in Delhi.
TVS Apache RR 310 Design:
The motorcycle is known for its aggressive seating posture, coupled with clip-on handlebars and USD forks, giving it decent maneuverability. The RR 310 also comes in Titanium Black and Racing Red, given two different sticker jobs. The RR310 is based on their Akula concept bike that was launched at Delhi Auto Expo in 2016. Akula in Russian means ‘shark’ from which the design of RR310 is borrowed from. TVS claims that it used the ‘Mass Forward Minimalistic Tail’ design derived from the shark.
TVS Apache RR 310 Dimension:
The saddle (seat) height is 810mm and the ground clearance is 180mm which is pretty decent for a sports bike. The weight is 170kg but it can ideally carry 130kgs, which makes it fit for solo riding.
TVS Apache RR 310 Features:
Apache RR 310 features a bi-LED twin projector headlamp set, upswept exhaust and a ‘Mass Forward Minimalistic Tail’ design with a little bit of the frame exposed, giving it a sporty look overall. The TVS RR310 also comes with a vertical Bluetooth-enabled colour TFT console that can store and display digital documents. Apart from dual-channel ABS, this motorcycle also gets an over-speeding indicator and an engine rev-limit indicator. The riding modes include track, urban, rain, and sport modes which provide ABS assistance while decreasing power output according to the need.
TVS Apache RR 310 Engine and Performance:
The company states that the ‘RR’ in the name abbreviates to ‘Race Replica’ after the 310cc engine that the company tested on the tracks. TVS claims that the design was inspired by testing it on the wind tunnel, giving it the benefit of good aerodynamics. The new BS6 version has a unique reverse inclined engine providing a better power-to-weight ratio. The 312.2cc single-cylinder mill produces 33.5 BHP at 9,700 RPM and a peak torque of 27.3 Nm at 7,700 RPM. This is mated to a six-speed gearbox.
TVS Apache RR 310 Mileage:
The 11-litre fuel capacity makes this motorcycle better suited to tracks than for very long rides. As per popular claim, the TVS Apache RR 310 gives about 35 kmpl.
TVS Apache RR 310 Rivals:
Bajaj Dominar 400 and KTM 390 seem to be the best contender for the RR310’s class. The R-15, KTM 250, BMW’s G 310 R and G 310 GS are worthy competitors. On the other hand, the R3 gave it a tough competition but Yamaha doesn’t make R3s in India anymore....Read MoreRead Less
