Suzuki RM Z250 Design:
As a dirt-bike, the Suzuki RM Z250 retains the basic design structure that makes it a dirt-bike. An instrument cluster and even a headlight is non-existent on this motorcycle. With a high beak mudguard in the front and a thin tail mudguard in the back, the rider will be protected from most of the slush or dirt that the bike kicks up. The sleek design gives the RM Z250 enhanced agility and superior performance. The exhaust is conveniently tucked under the seat in a bid to avoid obstruction while off-roading. It is expected to be released in Suzuki’s ‘Champion Yellow No. 2’ colour scheme.
Suzuki RM Z250 Dimension:
An extended wheelbase, higher ground clearance and a seat at the same height as the fuel tank gives the RM Z250 its unique dirt-bike characteristics. The mass of this nimble machine is weighted in the center, allowing it to be controlled easily on the ground as well as when it is airborne. Suspensions on this bike have longer travel to cushion the rider after landing a jump. Smaller undulations on the dirt track do not bother this motorcycle due to the advanced suspension system. The Suzuki RM Z250 weighs only 106 kilograms which is 1.3 kilos lesser than its Kawasaki counterpart.
Suzuki RM Z250 Features:
The RM Z250 comes equipped with Suzuki’s MX-Tuner 2.0 kit that enables customised tuning through wireless systems. A smartphone app can connect to the transceiver in the bike and regulate ignition timing and fuel delivery settings. The settings can be pre-programmed as well. This system can also record real-time engine data as well as run-time information to aid in bike maintenance. The Suzuki Holeshot Assist Control (S-HAC) gives selectable launch control system to get an early lead in a race. A traction management system also comes as standard.
Suzuki RM Z250 Engine and Performance:
This Suzuki model is tuned for optimum performance in the dirt-tracks. A dual fuel injector system allows the engine to make more power at higher RPMs. The Suzuki RM Z250 comes with a center-port cylinder head configuration. The bike is powered by a 249cc single-cylinder with four valves and liquid cooling. This mill is mated to a 5-speed gearbox. It churns out 36.3 BHP at 11,500 RPM and 25.2 Nm torque at 9,100 RPM.
Suzuki RM Z250 Mileage:
Although it is hard to keep track of fuel economy on the tracks, popular claims worldwide has kept the mileage number at 30 kmpl. The fuel tank capacity is 6.5 litres.
Suzuki RM Z250 Rivals:
Direct rivals to the RM Z250 include Husqvarna FC 250, KTM 250 SX-F, Yamaha YZ250F, Kawasaki KX250 and Honda CRF 250R.
