Launched alongside the company’s first dealership in Delhi, the Indie Gen 3 builds on the previous generation while incorporating multiple upgrades aimed at improving ride experience, practicality, and user interaction. Positioned as the “SUV of scooters,” the model is targeted at riders seeking a spacious, feature-rich, and reliable electric commuter with enhanced usability.

The River Indie Gen 3 is priced at ₹1.44 lakh (ex-showroom, Bengaluru). The scooter continues to occupy a premium segment in the Indian EV market, offering enhanced storage, features, and ride intelligence compared to other mid-range electric scooters.

The Gen 3 version was launched in 2025 alongside River’s expansion into North India, with deliveries beginning soon after the announcement. The updated model brings incremental improvements while retaining the core DNA of the Indie series.

The electric scooter is powered by a 4 kWh battery pack that delivers a claimed range of 163 km on a single charge under the Indian Driving Cycle (IDC). The PMS motor produces 6.7 kW (8.9 bhp), enabling a top speed of 90 kmph. Charging from 0–80 per cent takes approximately five to six hours, with real-time charging status now displayed via the mobile app.

The scooter rides on upgraded tyres for better grip and stability, while the digital instrument cluster has been redesigned for a clutter-free look and integrates range, charging information, and ride statistics. The mobile app has been updated to display ride statistics, real-time charging data, and customisable information points.

The scooter also introduces hill-hold assist, enhancing confidence on inclines, and a refined ride intelligence system based on feedback from extensive internal testing. Braking is handled by disc brakes at both ends with a combined braking system, ensuring reliable stopping power.

Practicality remains a key strength of the River Indie Gen 3, with 43 litres of under-seat storage complemented by a 12-litre glovebox. The suspension and motor remain unchanged, maintaining a balanced ride and efficient power delivery for urban and peri-urban commuting.
