Introduction

The Ola Roadster is an upcoming electric motorcycle that was unveiled in India in August 2024, and it will be available in three battery pack options. Ola Electric is working on a Roadster range of motorcycles and has already launched the entry-level Roadster X commuter electric. The mid-spec Ola Roadster will be launched shortly and is going to be listed at an ex-showroom starting price of ₹1,04,999.

Ola Roadster Price:

The upcoming Ola Roadster will be priced at ₹1,04,999 for the base 3.5 kWh battery pack. The mid-spec 4.5 kWh battery pack will fetch a price tag of ₹1,19,999. The range-topping 6 kWh battery pack will cost ₹1,39,999. All aforementioned prices are ex-showroom and are expected to be updated at the time of launch.

When will the Ola Roadster be launched in India?

The Ola Roadster range was unveiled at the company’s annual Sankalp event on August 15, 2024. The first model from the range has been launched and it is the entry-level Roadster X commuter electric. The mid-spec Ola Roadster e-motorcycle is expected to be launched in India in the second half of 2025.

How many variants of the Ola Roadster will be available?

The Ola Roadster will be available in three main variants. The base 3.5 kWh battery pack variant brings a claimed range of 151 km and a top speed of 116 kmph. The 4.5 kWh variant is claimed to travel for 190 km on a single charge and is said to top out at 126 kmph. The top-tier 6 kWh variant offers a claimed 248 km single-charge range with a top speed of 126 kmph.

What features are available in the Ola Roadster?

The Ola Roadster will sport a 6.8-inch TFT touchscreen that is powered by MoveOS5 and comes with features such as proximity unlock, cruise control, party mode, and tamper alert, along with AI-powered features such as Krutrim Assistant, smartwatch app, and road trip planner. The motorcycle gets disc brakes at the front and the rear, supported by single-channel ABS with cornering ABS and brake-by-wire technology.

What is the battery and range of the Ola Roadster?

The Ola Roadster will be sold with three battery pack options – 3.5 kWh, 4.5 kWh, and 6 kWh. The base model goes up to 151 km (claimed) on a single charge while the mid-spec variant can go as far as 190 km per charge. The top-tier 6 kWh variant boasts a claimed 248 km single-charge range with a top speed of 126 kmph. It is said to be able to sprint from a standstill to 40 kmph in 2 seconds.

The build quality is average, not too bad but not great either. I noticed a few minor issues, like some paint scratches after a few rides. Just wish it could have been better considering the price.

Decent Performance
