Kinetic DX: Overview
The Kinetic DX marks the revival of a historic nameplate, relaunched as a modern electric scooter by Kinetic Green in July 2025. Originally introduced in 1984 through a joint venture between Kinetic Engineering and Honda, the DX was known for its practicality and urban appeal. The 2025 version reimagines this legacy as a fully electric offering, featuring updated styling, connected features, and a locally developed LFP battery. The Kinetic DX is positioned in the growing electric scooter segment and joins the reintroduced Kinetic Luna as part of the brand's heritage EV revival strategy.
Kinetic DX: Price
The Kinetic DX electric scooter price starts from ₹1.12 lakh for the base DX variant, going up to ₹1.18 lakh (ex-showroom) for the top-spec DX+.
Kinetic DX: Launch Date
The Kinetic DX was officially launched in India on July 28, 2025. Bookings for the scooter opened the same day at a token amount of ₹1,000 via Kinetic dealerships and online platforms. Deliveries will be limited to 40,000 units and are scheduled to commence in October 2025.
Kinetic DX: Variants & Colours
The e-scooter is available in two variants: the standard DX and the feature-rich DX+. The DX is offered in two colour options—Silver and Black—while the DX+ expands the palette to include Red, Blue, and White, bringing the total to five. Both variants retain the retro-modern design language but differ in connected features and utility enhancements.
Kinetic DX: Range
The Kinetic DX+ delivers an IDC-certified range of 116 km under standard test conditions. Real-world range may vary based on riding mode and terrain. The scooter offers three ride modes—Range, Power, and Turbo—which balance acceleration and energy efficiency.
Kinetic DX: Specs & Features
The DX+ variant of the Kinetic DX is powered by a 2.6 kWh LFP battery supplied by Range-X. LFP chemistry offers superior thermal stability and a higher charge cycle lifespan of up to 3,500 cycles. The scooter runs on a 60V architecture and is paired with a mid-mounted motor that produces 6.4 bhp of peak power. It can achieve a top speed of 90 kmph and features regenerative braking under the K-Coast system.
Hardware components include telescopic front forks, adjustable rear shock absorbers, a 220 mm front disc brake, and a 130 mm rear drum, with CBS as standard. Storage space stands at 37 litres under the seat, sufficient for a full-face helmet and additional items.
Feature highlights include keyless start via the Easy Key system, reverse assist, Bluetooth-enabled controls, and hill-hold functionality. The DX+ additionally offers "Easy Flip" for the pillion footrest, an integrated "Easy Charge" retractable cable, and a host of connected features via the “Telekinetic” platform. These include geo-fencing, live vehicle tracking, anti-theft alerts, and “Find My Kinetic” location support. The “My Kiney Companion” suite adds voice-based features such as navigation prompts, music playback, and celebratory greetings.

Kinetic Green has not announced any introductory discounts or exchange bonuses at launch. However, bookings for the Kinetic DX are open at a refundable token amount of ₹1,000, and the company is offering a standard three-year or 30,000 km warranty. An optional extended warranty package covering up to nine years or one lakh kilometres is also available, positioning the DX among the few EVs with such long-term coverage.
