Kawasaki has introduced the W230 as a new addition to its modern-classic motorcycle portfolio, positioning it above the Kawasaki W175. The W230 retains a minimalist feature list in line with its retro character. It comes equipped with a circular LED headlamp and a dual-pod analogue instrument cluster with a small digital inset display for trip information. Dual-channel ABS is offered as standard for improved braking safety.

Powering the W230 is a 233 cc engine producing 18.98 Nm of peak torque at 5,800 rpm. The motor is paired with a six-speed gearbox and features an engine balancer for smoother performance, along with 32 mm throttle bodies.
The motorcycle is built on a semi-double-cradle steel frame and is suspended by 37 mm telescopic front forks and twin rear shock absorbers with preload adjustability. Braking duties are handled by a 265 mm front disc with a two-piston caliper and a 220 mm rear disc with a single-piston caliper.
Design highlights include a teardrop-shaped 11-litre fuel tank with a 3D emblem, a round headlamp, circular indicators, a single-piece seat, chrome-plated handlebar, painted steel fenders and a peashooter-style exhaust. The W230 is offered in Metallic Ocean Blue and Ebony colour options.
