The 2025 Kawasaki Versys-X 300 marks the return of the entry-level adventure touring model to the brand’s Indian portfolio. Launched at a price of ₹3.80 lakh (ex-showroom), the motorcycle is now more affordable than before. Despite being a niche offering in the segment, the Versys-X 300 retains its core characteristics of versatility and long-distance capability while also serving as a daily commuter. The motorcycle continues to be brought to India as a Completely Built Unit (CBU).
The 2025 Kawasaki Versys-X 300 is offered in a single configuration and is priced at ₹3.80 lakh (ex-showroom).
The 2025 Kawasaki Versys-X 300 was launched in India on May 22, 2025.
The 2025 Kawasaki Versys-X 300 is offered in a single configuration and is priced at ₹3.80 lakh (ex-showroom). It arrives in India through the CBU route and is available in a new blue and white paint scheme with refreshed graphics. The pricing marks a considerable reduction from the model’s previous iteration, which had launched at ₹4.60 lakh (ex-showroom).
The styling remains familiar and true to the adventure touring format. The updated paint scheme adds a slight visual refresh, but the overall silhouette, fairing, and windscreen design remain unchanged from the previous version. The motorcycle does not offer any major electronic features, with its equipment list remaining basic in comparison to newer rivals in the segment. The motorcycle features a halogen headlamp, analogue-digital instrumentation, and minimal electronic intervention beyond dual-channel ABS.
At its core, the 2025 Versys-X 300 uses the same 296 cc parallel-twin engine derived from the Ninja 300. This motor produces 38.5 bhp at 11,500 rpm and 26.1 Nm of torque at 10,000 rpm, paired with a six-speed gearbox and a slipper clutch. The engine character is tuned for high-revving performance, making it suitable for extended highway rides, although low-end torque is modest for off-road conditions.
The Versys-X 300 sits on a back-bone frame and weighs in at 184 kg (kerb). Suspension travel is 130 mm at the front via a 41 mm telescopic fork and 148 mm at the rear via a monoshock. The bike rides on 19-inch front and 17-inch rear spoked wheels, both fitted with tube-type tyres.
The ARAI-certified mileage of the Versys-X 300 is 24.39 kmpl. Real-world fuel economy figures may vary depending on road conditions and riding style.
The Versys-X 300 features a ground clearance of 180 mm, a seat height of 815 mm, and a kerb weight of 179 kg.
In its segment, the 2025 Versys-X 300 faces competition from more feature-rich and locally assembled models like the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 and the KTM 390 Adventure.
