The Honda Activa 125 is the brand’s premium 125 cc scooter offering in India, positioned above the Activa 110. Introduced in 2014, the scooter has continued to evolve as a reliable family-oriented commuter with enhanced performance, modern features, and refined styling. The latest 2025 model year update makes the scooter OBD2B-compliant and adds connectivity enhancements to remain competitive in the segment. Honda markets the Activa 125 as a practical upgrade for daily users seeking greater power, convenience, and comfort from a trusted two-wheeler nameplate.
The 2025 Honda Activa 125 price starts from ₹96,270 (ex-showroom), and it is available in two variants. The Activa 125 Disc is priced at ₹96,270 (ex-showroom), while the top-end Activa 125 Smart variant is offered at ₹1,00,242 (ex-showroom).
Honda first launched the Activa 125 in 2014 as its debut 125 cc scooter offering, building on the success of the Activa 110. The most recent update was introduced in December 2024, aligning the model with the latest OBD2B emission norms and upgrading its instrument cluster and feature set for 2025.
The Activa 125 is offered in two primary variants – the standard Disc variant and the top-spec Smart variant. The Smart variant comes equipped with Honda’s latest 4.2-inch TFT display with RoadSync compatibility, offering features like navigation, call/SMS alerts, and remote functions.
Colour options include six shades: Pearl Igneous Black, Matt Axis Gray Metallic, Pearl Deep Ground Gray, Pearl Siren Blue, Rebel Red Metallic, and Pearl Precious White. These colours are selected to cater to a wide range of customer preferences.
The Honda Activa 125 returns an ARAI-certified fuel efficiency figure of 46 kmpl. Real-world mileage may vary based on road conditions and riding behaviour. The model also includes an Idling Stop System that helps conserve fuel in city traffic by switching off the engine during short halts.
Powering the Activa 125 is a 123.92 cc single-cylinder, air-cooled, fuel-injected engine producing 8.3 bhp and 10.15 Nm of torque. The engine is paired with a CVT transmission and is now OBD2B-compliant as per 2025 norms. The scooter features Honda’s Enhanced Smart Power (eSP) technology and a silent ACG starter for smoother operation.
The suspension setup includes telescopic forks at the front and a three-step adjustable spring-loaded shock absorber at the rear. Braking duties are managed by a 190 mm disc up front and a 130 mm rear drum on the higher variant, while the base model uses drum brakes on both ends. A Combi-Braking System (CBS) is standard.
The top-spec Smart variant includes a Bluetooth-enabled 4.2-inch TFT dashboard compatible with the Honda RoadSync app, which enables navigation, call/SMS alerts, and smart key functions such as Smart Unlock, Smart Start, and Smart Find. Additional features include a USB-C charging port, LED position lamps, side-stand engine cut-off, and a service due indicator.
As of July 2025, Honda is offering a low-interest-rate finance scheme on the Activa 125 with a 7.99% ROI through select finance partners. Customers can also check with their nearest dealership for city-specific benefits, exchange offers, or corporate discounts, which may vary based on location and availability.
The Honda Activa 125 competes in the 125 cc scooter segment with rivals including the TVS Jupiter 125, Suzuki Access 125, Yamaha Fascino 125, and Hero Maestro Edge 125.
