The Hero Xtreme 125R is Hero MotoCorp’s attempt to bring sporty styling and premium features into the 125cc commuter segment. It’s designed for young riders who want performance, style, and practicality in one affordable package.
Design & Styling
The Xtreme 125R draws direct inspiration from bigger streetfighters. It features a muscular fuel tank, sharp LED headlamp, and aggressive body panels, giving it a sportier stance compared to regular 125cc bikes. The dual-tone finish, bold graphics, and aerodynamic bodywork make it look almost like a 150–160cc machine at first glance. In the red color I own, it really stands out on the road.
Engine & Performance
Powered by a 124.7cc air-cooled, single-cylinder engine with fuel injection, it produces 11.4 bhp at 8,250 rpm and 10.5 Nm torque at 6,000 rpm. The 5-speed gearbox offers smooth shifts and easy handling in city traffic. The top speed is around 90–95 km/h, respectable for its class. It is peppy enough for city rides, though not designed for aggressive highway runs.Read full Review

hero xtreme 125r mileage is pretty impressive, and the tires are nice and thick. The suspension feels good, and compared to other models, the exhaust sound is quieter, which is great. Solid Bike with Some Minor Issues
I'd give this bike a solid 4.5 out of 5 stars. It really feels like it deserves it, but on this site, I can only pick between 4 and 5 to match my feelings. Let me share some good things and a few not-so-good things about it. First, the bike feels really strong and stable, partly because it is on the heavier side. The small 18-inch rear wheels give me lots of choices as well. It has good braking, which is nice when you're carrying heavy loads and going at speeds up to 115 KMPH. Plus, it has that classic old-school look that many riders love. I also appreciate how easy it is to modify the bike thanks to its design. Fuel efficiency is decent too, getting about 34 to 40 KMPL for such a large engine. The ergonomics are great for long rides, and the battery is big enough to handle various electronic updates. However, there are some issues. The bike does shake a lot over 95 KMPL, but I found that changing the exhaust and oil helped a lot. The top speed is not as high as I expected for a bike in this price range, which is a little disappointing. There's also a ticking sound from the automatic decompressor that can be annoying, and the rear passenger seat is a bit too narrow. Lastly, some owners have noticed rust on the chrome parts.Read full Review
