The 2025 Ducati DesertX Discovery has been launched in India and it reflects a significant step in the Italian brand’s growth in the Indian motorcycle market. The new adventure motorcycle comes priced at ₹21.78 lakh (ex-showroom) and retains the same basic silhouette as the standard DesertX with a new, distinct livery. The DesertX Discovery adds to Ducati’s adventure motorcycle lineup in India which includes the Multistrada range. It comes loaded with a broad range of advanced features and tech and is powered by a 937 cc Testastretta 11-degree Desmodronic distribution engine that makes 111.5 bhp and 92 Nm of torque.
The Ducati DesertX Discovery has been priced at ₹21.78 lakh (ex-showroom). The standard version costs ₹18.33 lakh (ex-showroom). There is also a rally version of the DesertX that is available for ₹23.70 lakh (ex-showroom).
The Ducati DesertX Discovery was launched in India in February 2025. At the launch, Bipul Chandra, Managing Director, Ducati India said that the DesertX Discovery reflected a significant movement for the Italian brand’s growth in India.
The Ducati DesertX Discovery is the latest variant from the DesertX lineup of adventure motorcycles to make its way to India. Priced at ₹21.78 lakh (ex-showroom), it comes wrapped in a new, distinct livery of black, white, and red, bringing a bold look.
The DesertX lineup further includes the standard DesertX that is priced at ₹18.33 lakh (ex-showroom). Additionally, Ducati offers a rally verison that retails for ₹23.70 lakh (ex-showroom).
The Ducati DesertX Discovery is packed with cutting-edge features. It is equipped with a five-inch TFT display, smartphone connectivity, and turn-by-turn navigation, which is free for the first five years before requiring a subscription. Additional features include heated grips for further comfort.Its adventure-ready personality is further reinforced by the presence of protective components like as a bullbar around the fuel tank, a tall windscreen, a radiator guard, a belly guard, an engine bash plate, a central stand, and hard-case panniers. Furthermore, the bikemaker offers replacement parts, allowing riders to personalise and enhance the bike's adaptability to match their own needs.
The Ducati DesertX Discovery is powered by a 937cc liquid-cooled Testastretta 11-degree desmodromic distribution engine mated to a six-speed transmission. It produces 111.5 bhp at 9,250 rpm, with a peak torque of 92 Nm. To enhance its performance, the bike includes sophisticated rider aid tech such as engine brake control, cruise control, multiple ride and power modes, wheelie control, and a bi-directional quick shifter, among others.
The bike's suspension system includes 46 mm USD front forks and a fully adjustable KYB monoshock at the back. A double disc with a diameter of 320 mm is used in the front, while a 265 mm disc is utilised in the rear. Off-road performance is enhanced by 21-inch front and 18-inch rear spoked wheels.
The Ducati DesertX Discovery brings a tall seat height of 875 mm which can be lowered or increased with seat accessories. The bike brings a wet weight of 210 kg.
