Brixton Motorcycles launched the Cromwell 1200 range alongside the Crossfire 500 lineup in November 2024. The Chinese-owned Austrian brand has partnered with KAW Veloce Motors Pvt. Ltd. and has set up a manufacturing facility in Kolhapur, Maharashtra.

Currently, the Brixton Cromwell 1200 is offered in two main variants: the standard model priced at ₹7.84 lakh (ex-showroom) and the limited-edition scrambler variant dubbed the Cromwell 1200 X, which is available for ₹9.10 lakh (ex-showroom). The standard model is perfect for those who want to enjoy a classic roadster experience, while the 1200 X variant caters to those who seek a bit of adventure with its more rugged design and off-road capabilities. While both share the same hardware and powertrain, the 1200 X features tubeless block pattern tyres for better offroad performance. Both variants are powered by the same 1,222 cc liquid-cooled inline twin-cylinder engine, ensuring consistent performance across the board.

The design of the Brixton Cromwell 1200 stands as a testament to the brand’s eye for detail and vintage aesthetics. Sporting a round LED headlamp, the motorcycle exudes charm while still providing excellent visibility. The bike is equipped with a generous 16-litre fuel tank, designed to complement its traditional silhouette. Available in three colours—Cargo Green, Timberwolf Grey, and Backstage Black—the Cromwell 1200 allows riders to choose a variant that speaks to their personality. The two-pipe exhaust, made of stainless steel and lacquered for added flair, is designed to elevate its aesthetic while ensuring durability. Powering the Cromwell 1200 range is a 1,222 liquid-cooled inline twin-cylinder engine that makes 81.8 bhp and 108 Nm of torque. This unit has been paired with a six-speed gearbox and can top out at 198 kmph. The motorcycles feature KYB suspension units and gets telescopic front forks with 120 mm travel. The rear-end is suspended by twin shocks which are adjustable for preload and feature 87 mm of travel. Braking performance comes from Nissin calipers with twin 310 mm front discs and a single 260 mm rear disc.
