 Jawa 42 Launch Date: 

 

For all lovers of cruiser bikes, Jawa 42 comes out as a good option. Returning to the Indian market after more than two decades, the Jawa motorcycles, including Jawa 42 were re-launched in 2018. The last updated version was launched in 2021. 

 

 Jawa 42 Price: 

 

The bike comes in one variant and comes with an ex-showroom (New Delhi) price of Rs 191,142. 

 

 Jawa 42 Features: 

 

It looks muscular and stylish in terms of its looks and the matt finish adds to the ruggedness of the cruiser bike. The headlamp gets a new black grille, which may attract polarising views. Moving away from the spoke set-up, Jawa 42 now has black alloy wheels. It’s not a feature-rich bike, but the stuff that you get includes a digital odometer, analogue speedometer, digital tripmeter, low fuel and oil indicator, and low battery indicator. Though the headlamp is halogen, the taillight is LED-equipped. All-Star Black, Orion Red, and Sirius White are three colours Jawa 42 is offering to customers. 


 

 Jawa 42 Performance: 

 

The 293-cc bike has a liquid-cooled engine and can generate 27.33 Ps maximum torque with 27.02 Nm peak power. Jawa 42 comes with the six-speed manual gearbox. The braking duties are fulfilled by dual-channel anti-braking system (ABS). As far as suspension duties are concerned, the frontal part has a telescopic hydraulic fork, while the rear part is twin shock hydraulic. The top speed is somewhere around 125-132 kmph. Expect a mileage in the range 30-34 kmpl. 

 


 Jawa 42 Capacity: 

 

It can store 14 litres of petrol. It weighs 172 kg (kerb). It has altered the seat padding and there is a pillion grabrail to add to the comfort of the rider and pillion. 

 

 Jawa 42 Rivals: 

 

The main competition will come from cruiser bikes such as Royal Enfield Meteor 350, Honda H'ness CB350, and Benelli Imperiale 400. However, Bajaj Dominar 250 and Bajaj Avenger Cruise 220 will present challenges to Jawa 42.

Vespa is selling the VXL 125 model in India for 1.29 Lakhs ex-showroom, Dehi. 
 

 Vespa VXL 125 Design: 

 

Design of VXL 125 was inspired from the Vespa LX 125 that was sold in India till 2011. A circular cut-out on the apron is one of the main design difference between the LX and VXL. The VXL gets arrow-head shaped cut-out on the apron. 
The round headlight is another noteworthy design feature of the Vespa VXL 125. 
This scooter is available in Yellow, White, Matt Black, Maze Grey, Red and Azzurro Provenza (bright light blue) colours. 
 

 Vespa VXL 125 Dimension: 

 

The Aircraft Derived Hydraulic Single Side-arm front suspension has anti-dive characteristics. The dual effect hydraulic shock absorber has four adjustable positions. 
The broad front tyre and broader rear tyre sit on a pair of alloy wheels. 
 

 Vespa VXL 125 Features: 

 

The VXL 125 gets LED headlight and DRL. The DRL comfortably sits in the middle of the round headlight. 
The instrument cluster is all digital except the speedometer. Apart from these, a USB charger is present in the under-seat along with an under-seat light. 
 

 Vespa VXL 125 Engine and Performance: 

 

A 124.45cc single-cylinder, air cooled engine provides the scooter with 9.92 PS power at 7,500 RPM and 9.60 Nm torque at 5,500 RPM. 
The 3 valve configuration on the fuel injected engine is quite unique in scooters. This engine is mated to a CVT automatic gearbox. 
 

 Vespa VXL 125 Mileage: 

 

The Vespa VXL 125 is known to return a mileage of 45 to about 55 kilometers a litre. The scooter has a 7.4 litre fuel tank. 
 

 Vespa VXL 125 Rivals: 

 

The closest rival to Vespa’s classic Italian styling is Yamaha Fascino. 
Rivals from the 125cc scooter class include TVS NTorq, TVS Jupiter, Honda Dio, Honda Grazia, Suzuki Access, Suzuki Burgman Street, Yamaha RayZR, Hero Maestro, Aprilia SR 125, Aprilia Storm 125 and Aprilia SXR 125.
