In the tight scooter market in India, Hero Maestro Edge has maintained its position despite facing tough competition from sister brands too. The company in September 2020 launched Maestro Edge 100 BS6 with better features and sharper graphics.

The bike is offered in five variants, namely, VX (with drum brakes and alloy wheels), ZX (Drum), ZX (drum with alloy wheels), 100 Million Edition, and ZX (Disc). The basic variant is priced at around Rs 66,000 (ex-showroom) and the top ZX (Disc) costs Rs 72,000. 
 

 Hero Maestro Edge 110 Features: 

 
The BS6-compliant scooter has retained its muscular look and appears similar to its previous versions and like the more powerful Maestro 125. Its sharp and edgy body panels definitely appeal to its target male audience. The top model comes with diamond-cut alloy wheels. The features loaded in all variants include, LED taillamp, USB charger, and under-seat storage lamp, with a fresh design of instrument cluster that comprises fuel level indicator, digital odometer, and analogue speedometer, among others.

The vehicle comes in automatic transmission. The scooter is a 110.9cc, air-cooled engine which generates 8 bhp of maximum power at 7,500 rpm and 8.75Nm of peak torque at 5,500 rpm. The scooter comprises an Integrated Braking System, which adds to the safety. The company claims the BS-6 model has a better mileage and acceleration. The top variant also has gold-coloured wheels that complement beautifully the overall style. It has a three-step eco indicator too. The features that are common in all variants are ACG silent starter, external fuel filler cap, and side stand engine inhibitor. You can choose the following colours for Honda Dio: Mat Sangria Red Metallic, Mat Axis Grey Metallic, Dazzle Yellow Metallic and Matte Marvel Blue Metallic.

The fuel-injected 109.9-cc engine is air-cooled and single-cylinder. It can generate a maximum power of 5.71 kW at 8,000 rpm and a peak torque of 9 Nm at 4,750 rpm. While the front suspension type is telescopic, the rear one is three-step adjustable with spring-loaded hydraulic. The braking is controlled by a combined braking system. Expect a mileage of 45-50 kmpl during city rides.

While the motorcycle's appearance has stayed constant, Hero has introduced a new Black and Accent variation as well as a 100 Million Edition to keep the market interested. The Splendor Plus provides a luxurious ride that glides effortlessly even over speed bumps and rugged terrain. The motorcycle is equipped with large 18-inch tubeless tyres. Both of the Hero Splendor Plus BS6's tyres are 80/100 section 18-inch units with the identical dimensions. 
 

 Engine and Power: 
 

The Splendor Plus's 100cc carbureted engine has been modified with Hero's 'XSens technology' fuel-injection system. At 8,000 rpm, the engine now produces 7.91bhp and 8.05Nm, while at 6,000 rpm, it produces 8.05Nm. This is a 1.3bhp loss, with torque staying unchanged but reaching 1000rpm later. The engine is still paired with a four-speed transmission. 
 

 Safety Features:

The BS6 200 NS generates 1PS and 0.2Nm greater than the BS4 variant. Its engine is paired with a 6-speed manual transmission gearbox.As far as suspension is concerned, it has telescopic front forks and the rear portion has preload adjustable monoshock. The bike can clock the top speed of 120-125 kmph.

The bike weighs 159.5 kg and has a fuel tank capacity of 12 litres and the company claims mileage of 40.84 kmpl in cities. But, many owners claim a mileage of 35 kmpl.

When it comes to street bikes, the 650cc class is what most prefer. The Suzuki SV650 is a capable machine with the right features to make it one of the best street bikes ever. 
Since its release in 1999, it has been one of the leaders in the street bike segment in major countries across the world.

 Suzuki SV650 Design: 

 

This street bike is well balanced despite most of the mass being put to the front end. The SV650 is built around an exposed frame giving it a fearless stance. 
Although it has retained most of its design cues since 1999, the newest model has a few extra defining lines on the tank and headlight crown. An upswept exhaust does most of the talking in the rear. 
The SV650 is expected to be launched in Metallic Matte Black paint scheme. The tank is painted matte black, the rest of the body in metallic black while the frame and rims are painted dark blue. The three tone paint scheme makes it stand out of the crowd. 
The earlier models however came in Metallic Silver, Glass Sparkle Black as well as Metallic Matte Black. 
 
 Suzuki SV650 Dimension: 

 

The dimensions and design of the SV650 has adequately matched the middle-weight street-bike segment. It is just 2.5 feet in width and 7 feet in length.

Better engine management is given to the SV650 through its Engine Control Module (ECM). This system enhances the engine settings to provide better linear throttle response.

This midweight street bike has very few contenders. Direct rivals in terms of price and class include Kawasaki Ninja 650, Kawasaki Z650, Aprilia Tuono 660, Benelli TNT 600i, Triumph Trident 660, Royal Enfield Continental GT 650, Royal Enfield Interceptor 650, CFMoto 650 NK, KTM Duke 690 R and Yamaha MT-07. 
Kawasaki Vulcan S 650, Kawasaki Versys 650, Honda CB 650 R, Honda CBR 650 R, Triumph Tiger Sport 660, Suzuki V-Strom 650 and Ducati Scrambler are other noteworthy contenders to the Suzuki SV650.

TVS NTorq 125 
 

The NTorq has given scootering a whole new meaning in 2022. They have 6 different versions which run on the same capacity engine. 

Although not known for good mileage, it is rather on the powerful side like Yamaha Ray and Aprilia SR 160. 

 

 TVS NTorq 125 Launch Dates: 
 
In February 2018, the first of the TVS NTorqs were released. It was rather plain without much stickering done. 

The BS6 version came up with many added features in April 2020. 

 

 TVS NTorq 125 Price: 
 
The 6 variants are priced between Rs. 77,000 for the drum brake version to Rs. 1,02,000 for the TVS NTorq XT. 

Other variants are: 

NTorq 125 Disk for Rs. 82,000 
NTorq 125 Race Edition for Rs. 85,000 
NTorq 125 Super Squad Edition for Rs. 87,000 
NTorq Race XP for Rs. 90,000.

 TVS NTorq 125 Design: 

 
TVS?s race DNA has given it to this scooter as well. Although the 2018 model came in just solid colours without many decals, the newer models have better vinyl works. 

Also called TVS X Marvel, the TVS NTorq 125 Super Squad Edition showcases a series of four colours assembled on four Avengers.

Lightning Gray for God of Lighting 
Combat Blue for the American Captain 
Stealth Black for the stealthy Black Panther. 


The scooter also comes in Metallic Red and Blue, Matte Red, Neon, Metallic Grey, Race Red Black, Race Edition Red and Race Edition Yellow. 


Coming to think of it, all the models of this scooter have split rear grab-rails and an elegant-looking exhaust system. 

 

 TVS NTorq 125 Dimension: 
 
Seat height of the Ntorq is slightly on the taller side however, it won?t even matter while riding this well-designed scooter. 

The storage space of 22 litres is pretty good compared to the scooters of its class. The Ntorq is also light at just 116 kilos. 

 

 TVS NTorq 125 Features: 
 
This TVS scooter has introduced the first-in-segment digital screens that can track cricket scores as well as give social media alerts. It also features voice command, Bluetooth connectivity and navigation. These features were very futuristic for a scooter until the NTorq was released. 

 

 TVS NTorq 125 Engine and Performance: 
 
Everyone agrees to the fact that the NTorq?s exhaust note sound much more like a motorcycle?s exhaust note. 
TVS NTorq 125 also has some of the best choices among riders who want power. The 124.8cc BS6 engine that drives the NTorq churns out a nominal 10.2 BHP at 7,000 RPM and 10.8 Nm at 5,500 RPM. 
 

 TVS NTorq 125 Mileage: 
 
The fuel tank can hold 5.8 litres while the vehicle gives a mileage of about 47 kmpl. This makes it ideal for city conditions.
