The Icona Vulcano: a new supercar with over 900 hp


New hybrid supercar, the Icona Vulcano, will be previewed at the Shanghai Auto Show running April 21-29. It promises to deliver over 900 hp, a top speed of around 350km/h and acceleration from 0 to 200km/h in under 10 seconds.
The man behind this ambitious project is engineer Claudio Lombardi who is known in sporting circles for designing the engines that helped the Lancia team at the World Rally Championships until 1991. He was also the F1 technical director at Ferrari until 2000.

The Icona Vulcano follows the current trend for ultra powerful hybrid supercars. At the recent Geneva Motor Show, all eyes were on the LaFerrari and the McLaren P1 which deliver 963hp and 915hp respectively.
