Spotify will be available in Volvo cars


Car manufacturer Volvo has announced an exclusive partnership with Spotify including a touch-enabled and voice-activated application that will be available in most of its cars via the Sensus Connected Touch system.
The terminal installed in the car will allow the driver to stream music using either a 3G/4G dongle or a mobile phone connected to the dashboard. With the voice activation, the driver can easily choose a track and concentrate on the road.

Other Android applications available via the Sensus Connected Touch include Google Maps, iCoyote and TuneIn. There is also a store for updates and extra services.
The Sensus Connected Touch is a dealer-installed add-on. It will be available from May 2013 and can be fitted on all new Volvo models (V40, S60, V60, XC60, V70, XC70 and S80). It is also compatible with older models from 2011 onwards.
