Oriental ties up with TVS for car care

In a bid to increase the volumes of their motor-car policy business, Oriental Insurance Company has tied-up with TVS & Sons care service business division, My TVS, to provide its insurance holders with a 24X7 emergency roadside assistance service.

"The introduction of such a service would give car owners a reason to extend their insurance and also provide more value for the premium that they pay as these services are provided absolutely free by us," said M Ramadoss, chairman and managing director, Oriental Insurance Co Ltd. He unveiled the service in Mumbai on Monday along with R Srivatchan, president, MyTVS.

The tie-up was first launched in Chennai in June 2008 and after covering the Western region the public sector insurer plans to make it a nationwide service in 22 states.
