New Verna diesel rules in its class

Q I currently drive a Honda City and my annual mileage is 15,000-16,000km. I have an ₹10 lakh budget and I like the Hyundai Verna SX diesel. Consi-dering my key priorities of mileage, boot space, looks, brand, resale value, features and comfort, does the new Verna make a good buy?

A The new Verna diesel is one of the best diesel in its class and is better than the VW Vento and Maruti SX4. It has good performance, decent boot space, efficiency and looks terrific too. However, there is another option- the new Ford Fiesta diesel which is the nicest car to drive in its class.

A A car's life depends on how you look after it. However, after a certain mileage, the maintenance costs start rising sharply and at this point you need to sell the car.

A The Bajaj Pulsar 220 provides better straight line performance, better fuel efficiency, a better headlight and better switches than the Hero Honda Karizma ZMR. On the other hand, the Karizma ZMR provides better overall quality, refinement and slightly better handling.

Q I am planning to purchase a Hero Honda Karizma ZMR in August. Is it a good option considering Hero and Honda have parted ways? Are there any other bike options between 150cc to 223cc category?

A The Hero Honda Karizma ZMR is not the best bike in today's market. We suggest investing in either of the following instead the Bajaj Pulsar 220 or the Honda CBR 250R.
