New BMW 2-series pictures leaked

The first pictures of the forthcoming BMW M235i have been leaked online.

First published on an internet forum following a dealer presentation, the pictures show the final production form of the M235i, due to launch towards the middle of next year.

The M235i is powered by a 3.0-litre in-line six-cylinder turbocharged engine producing 322bhp and 44.5kgm of torque, according to leaked specifications. The most powerful model in the 2-series range, the M235i, can sprint from 0-100kph in 5.0 seconds and has a top speed of 250kph.

The BMW 2-series will replace the current 1-series coupe and cabriolet when it goes on sale.
