New Beetle set to rock the car market

Volkswagen has teamed up with guitar maker Fender for a limited edition rock music-inspired Beatle.
Created in conjunction with the legendary guitar brand, the VW Beetle Fender Limited edition comes in black and features a dashboard finished in the same sunburst wood finish that has adorned many a classic Telecaster or Stratocaster guitar.

But the Fender connection doesn't end there. As well as a Fender badge on each of the front wings, the Beetle boasts a 400-watt Fender sound system including a boot-mounted sub woofer for better bass frequencies. In fact, all that's missing is a volume dial that goes up to 11.
Under the hood, the Beetle benefits from a potent yet responsible 2-litre turbodiesel engine that can be specified with Volkswagen's excellent DSG dual-clutch gearbox which is guaranteed to squeeze every last rev of power from the 140PS engine between up- and down-changes.
The VW Beetle Fender Limited Edition goes on sale on January 2 and prices are expected to start at £23,015 ($37,500).
