Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT Final Edition uncovered

The Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT Final Edition has been revealed ahead of its debut at the LA motor show later this month.

Set to be built in a limited run of just 350 units, the Final Edition will be the last batch of SLS models to be sold before the car is retired next year. The car will also be seen at the Tokyo motor show alongside the new S65 AMG .

The Final Edition is powered by a 6.3-litre V8 engine producing 583bhp, and includes additional bespoke bodywork. It is also expected to include an upgraded interior over the standard car.

According to Mercedes-AMG boss Tobias Moers, the SLS Final Edition represents the 'ultimate, particularly attractive variant of our super sports car'.

The Mercedes-Benz SLS will be replaced next year by a new model, codenamed C190, which will look to take on the Porsche 911 Turbo when it launches in 2015.
