Maruti to resume work at Manesar by August 21
Indian car market leader Maruti Suzuki will start the process of resuming production at Manesar by engaging with factory workers who were not involved in the violence on July 18. The factory is expected to resume operations on August 21.
"Not all workers were at fault on July 18 so during the week, we will engage with those who are innocent to devise a strategy on how to get things back on track," said SY Siddiqui, chief operating officer, MSIL. "We are also carrying out an internal inquiry to identify workers who were involved in any way. None of them will be taken back."
