Lexus unveils new IS

Lexus unveiled the first images of its third generation IS sedan, boasting renewed lines and interior design. The car will debut at the North American International Auto Show (NAIAS), which kicks off January 19.

The 2014 IS features the brand's new 'spindle grille' as well as powerfully articulated headlamps with LED daytime running lights in the shape of an L. Larger and longer, the vehicle boasts additional leg room and trunk space.

Inside, the driver seat offers increased comfort and best in class lateral support. The center console features touch-sensitive controls for temperature and the AC.

The IS F Sport will be able to draw in a larger volume of cooling air for increased sporty performance. Lexus has not yet revealed the vehicle's technical specs.

While the new IS will debut at NAIAS, the European range will be presented at the Geneva Auto Show (March 7-17).

North American International Auto Show runs January 19-27 in Detroit.
