Hyundai launches ‘dynamic, powerful’ Santa Fe at₹26 lakh

Hyundai Motor India Ltd (HMIL) launched its sports utility vehicle (SUV) — Santa Fe — priced at about ₹26 lakh, on day one of Auto Expo in Greater Noida.
"The third-generation Santa Fe is powerful and dynamic vehicle," said BS Seo, managing director and CEO, HMIL.
The existing Santa Fe did not find takers in India since it could not meet the challenges of Butch Fortuner from Toyota's stable. There are chances that the new car may face similar challenges.

However, the car powered by a 2.2-litre CRDI engine could appeal to a niche customer base with three-bar hexagonal chrome grille upfront and wraparound, curved head and tail lamps with LED day-time running lights.
The 18-inch diamond cut alloys further add to the car's appeal.
The sports SUV offers flexible three-row seating and is available in two and four-wheel drive versions and a six-speed manual and automatic transmission.
The two-wheel drive (manual) Santa Fe is priced at ₹26.3 lakh, while the automatic version would cost ₹27.15 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). The four-wheel drive automatic is available for ₹29.25 lakh.
The Santa Fe delivers a mileage of around 15 km per litre in the manual model and 13 in the automatic mode.
