Honda Motor Co, Japan's second- largest automaker, will suspend production of minicars tomorrow due to a lack of parts stemming from earthquake damage to a key supplier.

The company's Yachiyo Industry Co unit, which makes minicars, will halt production at its Yokkaichi plant in western Japan, Tokyo-based Honda said in a release on Tuesday.

Honda will also suspend output of engines for minicars at its Kumamoto plant on the southwestern Japanese island of Kyushu.
