In the constant stream of new vehicle announcements from the Frankfurt Motor Show, which takes place through September 22, supercar presentations never fail to stand out. Here is a selection of five models that stole the spotlight on the Ferrari, Porsche, Bugatti, Aston Martin and Lamborghini stands.

Ferrari presented the new 'Speciale' edition of its 458 in Frankfurt as the 'most high performance Ferrari V8 sports car ever.' The sleek supercar boasts 605hp and a very aggressive weight-to-power ratio of 2.13kg/hp, allowing it to accelerate from 0 to 100km/h in just 3s, and from 0 to 200km/h in 9.1s. In terms of design, the Speciale differs from the previous 458 through its redesigned bodywork panels and composite bumpers at the front and rear.

Even in electric-only mode, the 918 Spyder can reach a top speed of 150km/h and accelerate from 0 to 100km/h in under 7s.
Bugatti Legend 'Jean Bugatti'
Presented in a world premiere in Frankfurt, the second vehicle in Bugatti's Legend series pays homage to Jean Bugatti, son of the brand's founder and the engineer behind the Type 57SC Atlantic. The supercar in his honor is based on the Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport Vitesse, equipped with an 8L W16 engine and 1,200hp. The car, of which only three will be produced, is capable of accelerating from 0 to 100km/h in just 2.6s.
