As part of its yearly auction at Goodwood's Festival of Speed in the United Kingdom, on July 12, Bonhams will auction off an exceptional car: Juan-Manuel Fangio's Mercedes W196 which is estimated at several million euros.

The chassis that is up for sale bears the number 00006/54, the very one with which Fangio won the German and Swiss Grand Prix events that went towards the 1954 F1 Championship. This legendary car that led the Argentinean to a second world title that year was innovative particularly due to its gasoline direct injection and its completely independent suspension.
