Cartier Travel with Style Concours d'Elegance preview

Cartier organised an exclusive preview of the upcoming third edition of the Travel with Style Concours d'Elegance in Mumbai on November 26.

The Concours d'Elegance is a vintage car exhibition and competition held biennially in India. The event will be opened to the media in Mumbai in February 2013. The earlier editions of the event were held in 2008 and 2011.

The third edition of the event will also, for the first time, showcase vintage motorcycles. These will be presented in categories such as Pre-War Classics, Post-War Classics and Racing motorcycles. Two classic motorcycles - a single cylinder 1955 Norton Manx racing motorcycle and a 1944 Indian Chief American motorcycle. The event will also feature a new category for vintage cars called the Edwardian Class, comprising vehicles from the turn of 20th Century to 1919. Some of these cars were specially ordered by Maharajas as they graduated from horse carriages.

The preview displayed some classic cars such as a 1934 Packard Tourer, a 1947 Rolls-Royce Wraith, a 1947 MG TC and a Fiat 1100 Select.
