As seen from the picture, the 5-series gets more heavily structured bumpers and the lamp graphics are mildly revised. The rear styling gets mild tweaking as well.

However, there are no spy pictures of the interior, but our sources tell us that BMW plans to provide the 5-series with the latest version of its iDrive multimedia system and a configurable instrument display already introduced on the recently facelifted 7-series.

Not much is known about the upgrades under the hood, but we can expect the engine line-up to be more fuel-efficient than the current offerings.

Expect BMW to unveil the 5-series facelift at one of the upcoming motor shows internationally with an India launch to take place later this year.
