The current-generation BMW 5-series (Codename: F10) has been on sale since 2011. But the German carmaker is already testing a mildly reworked version of its Mercedes E-class rival and this is the first-ever undisguised spy picture of the updated 5-series spotted in China.

As seen from the picture, the 5-series gets more heavily structured bumpers and the lamp graphics are mildly revised. The rear styling gets mild tweaking as well.

However, there are no spy pictures of the interior, but our sources tell us that BMW plans to provide the 5-series with the latest version of its iDrive multimedia system and a configurable instrument display already introduced on the recently facelifted 7-series.
