Autocar Performance Show to kickstart today


Top car and two-wheeler makers are set to showcase their latest offerings at the Autocar Performance Show, which will kick-off in Mumbai on Thursday. Over 100,000 enthusiasts are expected to visit the four-day event.
Italian car maker Fiat is expected to debut the Fiat 500 Abarth, while Hyundai could showcase its luxury offering Genesis among other cars at the show, organised by Autocar India and UK's Haymarket Group.

DSK Motowheels will ride in a range of Benelli super bikes as well. Pune-based DSK, which already sells Korean company Hyosung's motorcycles in India, had announced in October that it would launch Italian sports bike Benelli's range in India by December. Shirish Kulkarni, chairman of DSK Motowheels, told HT earlier that it would launch Benelli motorcycles in the 300cc-1,130cc range in December.
Other bike makers such as Bajaj-KTM are also expected to display their models.
Mercedes Benz will showcase some of its recent launches such as the GLA 45 AMG, which was launched at the end of October, and the new C-Class sedan.
The Autocar Performance Show started in 2005 and will turn 10 this year. Hindustan Times is one of the supporters of the event this year.
